Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus tentang efektifitas komunikasi pustakawan. Keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan sangat berpengaruh dalam pelayanan di perpustakaan. Hubungan komunikasi antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka pada saat ini tebilang kurang baik, karena hubungan komunikasi secara langsung antara pustakawan dan pemustaka sangat terbatas khususnya untuk pemustaka kalangan SMA. Para pemustaka yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan hanya sebatas menggunakan koleksi perpustakaan yang dibutuhkan tanpa menjalin komunikasi yang lebih lanjut dengan pustakawan. Penelitian ini mempunyai rumusan masalah umum yakni Bagaimana studi implementasi Pustakawan di perpustakaan SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung? Secara khusus yakni: 1). Bagaimana efektifitas komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan dengan pemustaka di Perpustakaan SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung, dan; 2). Bagaimana cara pustakawan membangun komunikasi interpersonal dengan pemustaka di SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung?. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian Deskriptif kualitatif karena melihat dari tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian dengan cara menganalisis dan menggambarkan secara jelas bagaimana implementasi komunikasi interpersonal pustakawan terhadap pemustaka. Untuk mendeskripsikan jawaban dari setiap rumusan masalah diperlukan informan yang bena-benar dapat dipercaya untuk itu peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dalam menentukan informan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sudah terimplementasikannya keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal di perpustakaan, melihat dari terjalinnya hubungan komunikasi secara langsung antara pustakawan dan pemustaka. Tetaapi hubungan komunikasi interpersonal belum maksimal karena melihat faktor usia pustakawan yang sudah tua mengurangi minat kunjung siswa untuk berkunjung ke perpustakaan. Kata Kunci: Pustakawan, Komunikasi Interpersonal, Interaksi dengan pemustaka;--- This Research is focused on effectivity interpersonal communication of Librarian. Interpersonal communication skill of librarian is very influential in the service in the library. Communication relationship between librarian with user at this time is less good, because direct communication relationship between librarian and user is very limited especially for user among high school. Users to library are simply to using the required library collection without further communication with the librarian. This study has a general problem formula that is how to study the implementation of librarians in Pasundan 2 Senior High School Bandung library? Specifically namely: 1). How is the effectiveness of interpersonal communication with librarians in Library Pasundan 2 Bandung Library, and; 2). How do librarians build interpersonal communication with users in SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung ?. In this research the researcher uses qualitative descriptive research method because looking from the purpose of research to describe the results of research by analyzing and describing clearly how the implementation of interpersonal communication librarian to user. To describe the answer of each problem formulation is needed informant who really can be trusted for that researcher use purposive sampling technique in determining informant. The result of this research is the implementation of interpersonal communication skill in libraries, seeing from the establishment of direct communication relationship between librarian and user. However, the interpersonal communication relationship is not maximized since the age factor of the older librarian reduces the students' visiting interest to visit the library.
