Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya learning obstacle yang dialami siswa berdasarkan identifikasi dari hasil tes learning obstacle dan kajian pembelajaran yang dilakukan peneliti. Penelitian ini diimplementasikan kepada siswa kelas IX Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian adalah memperoleh desain didaktis yang mengakomodasi berbagai learning obstacle yang muncul. Penyusunan desain didaktis diawali dengan membuat suatu desain pembelajaran (lesson design). Terdapat empat lesson design mengenai konsep barisan dan deret aritmetika. Lesson design pertama membahas pola bilangan sederhana dan barisan bilangan. Lesson design kedua membahas barisan aritmetika, kaitan barisan dengan fungsi, dan suku ke-n suatu barisan aritmetika. Lesson design ketiga membahas generalisasi rumus suku ke-n barisan aritmetika, deret aritmetika, dan generalisasi rumus jumlah n suku pertama deret aritmetika. Lesson design keempat membahas soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan barisan dan deret aritmetika. Keempat lesson design tersebut disusun dengan mempertimbangkan learning obstacle dan learning trajectory dari konsep barisan dan deret. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik triangulasi dalam proses pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan desain pembelajaran tersebut dapat meminimalkan learning obstacle yang teridentifikasi. Kata kunci: Desain Didaktis, Barisan dan Deret Aritmetika, Learning Obstacle, Learning Trajectory The background of this research is learning obstacle experienced by students which identified by the result of the learning obstacle test and the study of learning that has done by researchers. This research was implemented to IX grade Junior High School students. The aim of this research is to get didactical design which can handle the identified learning obstacle. Its begins with making a lesson design. There are four lesson design regarding arithmetic sequence and series concept. First lesson design discuss numbers pattern and sequence of numbers. Second discuss arithmetic sequence, the correlation of function and sequence of numbers, and the nth term of arithmetic sequence. Third discuss generalization of the formula for the nth term of arithmetic sequence, arithmetic series, and generalization of the formula for the first n terms of arithmetic series. Forth discuss the arithmetic sequence and series questions. Those all lesson design was arranged based on learning obstacle and trajectory of arithmetic sequence and series concept. This research used qualitative method with technical triangulation in the process of data collection. This research shows that lesson design can minimize the identified learning obstacle.
