Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan sosial siswa yang dimiliki oleh siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar, banyak siswa yang tidak mau berinteraksi dengan teman yang lain karena tidak mau dikelompokkan dengan alasan teman tersebut memiliki akademik yang kurang serta sulitnya memiliki rasa percaya diri untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya didepan kelas. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang diterapkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Time Token. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe Time Token untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa kelas IV SD dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan sosial siswa kelas IV setelah diterapkan Model Cooperative Learning tipe Time Token di SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart dengan dua siklus dan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan siswa, dan lembar observasi keterampilan sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada siswa kelas IV semester II di salah satu SD Negeri di Kota Bandung dengan jumlah siswa 23 orang yang terdiri dari 13 perempuan dan 10 laki-laki. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan sosial siswa yaitu pada siklus I mencapai 51,7% dan pada siklus II mencapai 92,02%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Time Token dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa. This research is motivated by the low social skills of 4th grade elementary school students, many students who do not want to interact and / or to be grouped with other because of the less academic value reasons, and lack of confidence to express his/her opinion in Front of the class.One of the learning model which is applied to overcome the problem is cooperative learning time token type. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of learning by applying cooperative learning time token type to improve 4th grade students social skills of and describe the improvement of 4th grade students social skills after the application time token model of cooperative learning in elementary school.This research used classroom action research method Kemmis and taggart models with two cycles and each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection.With research instrument in the form of observation sheet of teacher and student activity and social skill observation sheet.This research was conducted to the fourth graders of second semester in one of Bandung Elementary School with 23 students consist of 10 boys and 13 girls, the results of this study showed an increase in social skills of students that is on the 1st cycle reaches 51.7% and on the second cycle 92.02%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning time token type can improve students' social skills.
