Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya siswa SMPN 2 Bengkayang yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca. Siswa sering mengalami kekeliruan dalam membaca kata, tanda baca, maupun kalimat.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca sekaligus meningkatkan rasa percaya dirinya melalui penerapan model induktif kata bergambar berbasis hypnoteaching. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah empat orang siswa SMPN 2 Bengkayang berkesulitan membaca. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa pedoman wawancara, pedoman tes, pedoman observasi, dan program pembelajaran individu sebagai dasar pemberian perlakuan. Tindakan yang diberikan berupa pembelajaran menggunakan model induktif kata bergambar. Pada bagian pendahuluan diterapkan hypnoteaching dengan memberikan sugesti dan motivasi kepada siswa agar siswa siap mengikuti pembelajaran, dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa. Setelah pembelajaran selesai dilakukan, selanjutnya diberikan tes yang berkaitan dengan materi pembelajaran. Berdasakan hasil tes yang dilaksanakan selama pemberian perlakuan, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan subjek penelitian dalam membaca huruf, pengenalan bunyi awal kata yang berbeda, membaca kata tak bermakna, membaca nyaring, membaca pemahaman, dan menyimak. Peningkatan kemampuan siswa juga ditandai dengan meningkatnya jumlah kecepatan membaca permenit siswa, meskipun tidak terlalu signifikan. Berdasakan simpulan tersebut maka saran dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) penerapan model induktif kata bergambar berbasis hypnoteaching hendaknya digunakan dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca siswa (2) guru hendaknya lebih sering memberikan penghargaan dan motivasi kepada siswa untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa (2) untuk penelitian selanjutnya model induktif kata bergambar sebaiknya digunakan pula dalam mengatasi kesulitan menulis siswa. ;--- This research is motivated by the existence of SMPN 2 Bengkayang students who still have difficulty in reading. Students often experience errors in reading words, punctuation, and sentences. The goal to be achieved from this research is to improve students' reading skills while improving their self-confidence through the application of hypnoteaching-based Picture Word induktive models. The research method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with case study research. Subjects in this study are four people students with reading difficulties of SMPN 2 Bengkayang. The research instruments used are interview guides, test guides, observation guides, and individual learning programs as the basis for treatment. Action given in the form of learning using picture word induktive model. In the introduction of hypnoteaching is applied by giving suggestion and motivation to the students so that students are ready to follow the learning, and improve students' confidence. After the learning is completed, the next test is given related to the learning materials Based on the results of the tests conducted during the treatment, there is an increase in the ability of research subjects in reading letters, introducing different sounds of different words, reading meaningless words, reading aloud, reading comprehension, and listening. The improvement of students' abilities is also marked by the increasing number of reading speeds permenit students, although not very significant. Based on these conclusions, the suggestion in this research is (1) the application of hypnoteaching based picture word induktive model should be used in overcoming students 'reading difficulties (2) teachers should more often give awards and motivation to students to improve students' self confidence (2) Then the inductive picture words induktive model should be used also in overcoming the difficulties of writing students.
