Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian “EKSISTENSI SANGGAR MUSIK KERONCONG WIRAHMA DI LINGKUNGAN PESANTREN CIPASUNG TASIKMALAYA” ini mengkaji permasalahan tentang bagaimana kondisi objektif Sanggar Musik Keroncong Wirahma di lingkungan Pesantren Cipasung Tasikmalaya dan bagaimana respon masyarakat di lingkungan Pesantren Cipasung Tasikmalaya terhadap Sanggar Musik Keroncong Wirahma tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana musik keroncong dapat tetap diakui keberadaannya, dan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana respon masyarakat lingkungan Pesantren Cipasung Tasikmalaya terhadap Sanggar Musik Keroncong Wirahma, di tengah-tengah keberagaman musik yang lainnya, yang ada di lingkungan pesantren tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis data yang digambarkan berupa uraian deskriptif sesuai dengan jenis datanya yanng bersifat kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengungkap fakta-fakta yang terjadi di lapangan dan menjawab permasalahan melalui data yang dikumpulkan dan yang telah dianalisis. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat upaya pemanfaatan musik keroncong yang diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan-kegiatan pesantren, mengikutsertakan sanggar dalam kegiatan lomba-lomba, serta aktif dalam kegiatan-kegiatan seni di luar lingkungan pesantren. Hal ini dapat menunjukkan bahwa keberadaanya dapat terus diterima oleh masyarakat, dan dapat menerima respon yang bagus, terutama terhadap upaya inovasi-inovasi dalam karya musiknya. ---------- The research entitled “THE EXISTENCE OF WIRAHMA KERONCONG MUSIC STUDIO IN PESANTREN CIPASUNG TASIKMALAYA.” investigated the actual condition of Wirahma Keroncong music studio in Pesantren Cipasung Tasikmalaya and the response of the society around Pesantren Cipasung toward Wirahma Keroncong music studio. In details, this research was conducted in order to find out to what extent Keroncong music(preserved by Sanggar Wirahma musical studio) maintains its existence and gets a response from the society inPesantren Cipasung Tasikmalaya, amid the variety of music in Pesantren Cipasung. The research method employed in this research was descriptive qualitative, in which the results of data analysis were being presented in the form of a description. Moreover, the data collection techniques used in this research were observation, document analysis, and interview, which were intended to reveal the facts happening in the field and to solve the problem by using the obtained information which has been analyzed. The results of this research showed that there was an effort to utilize Keroncong music which was integrated into some activities in Pesantren, such as involving the music studio to support some competitions held by Pesantren Cipasung, and supporting the participation of the music studio in some cultural events outside Pesantren. Thus, this result indicates that the existence of Keroncong music can be accepted positively by the society, especially when there are some innovations involved in the music.
