Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa. Aktivitas dapat membentuk sebuah pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang akan meningkatan prestasi siswa. Saat ini pembelajaran yang sering dilakukan di sekolah cenderung kurang memperhatikan aktivitas belajar siswa, sekolah hanya memperhatikan hasil belajar siswa sebab kegiatan pembelajaran cenderung menggunakan metode ceramah. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran disekolah hendaknya dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa untuk membantu mengembangkan kompetensi siswa serta meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Head Together) yang dikembangkan oleh Spenser Kagan. Model NHT mengacu pada pembelajaran secara kelompok, setiap anggota kelompok memiliki tugas masing-masing dengan nomor yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas menurut Kemmis dan Taggart. Pada Pra Siklus ditemukan sekitar 29% aktivitas siswa yang terhitung rendah, pada siklus I aktivitas siswa meningkat menjadi 78% dan terdapat peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 21% yaitu menjadi 99% terhadap aktivitas siswa termasuk kedalam kategori sangat aktif. Penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk menunjukan aktivitas siswa sekolah dasar sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan yang dimiliki siswa. ;---This research is motivated by low student learning activity. Activities can form a knowledge and skills that will increase student achievement. Currently the learning that is often done in schools tend to pay less attention to student learning activities, schools only pay attention to student learning outcomes because learning activities tend to use the lecture method. Whereas if using such methods students will easily forget and tend to be tired while learning so that student learning outcomes will decrease or students will rely more on friends. Therefore, learning in schools should be able to increase student learning activities to help develop student competence and improve student learning outcomes. To overcome the problem is by using cooperative learning model type NHT (Numbered Head Together) developed by Spenser Kagan. The NHT model refers to group learning, each group member having their respective assignments with different numbers. This research uses Classroom Action Research model by Kemmis and Taggart. In the Pre Cycle found about 29% of student activity is low, on the first cycle student activity increased to 78% and there was an increase in cycle II of 21% up to 99% of student activities reffered the to very active category. This research is useful to show the activities of elementary school students in accordance with the stage of students development.
