Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya self-efficacy untuk mencapai motivasi berprestasi bagi peserta didik, khususnya peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang dibekali tidak hanya dengan teori namun dibekali juga dengan keahlian dan keterampilan untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Dengan adanya self-efficacy yang akan mendorong motivasi berprestasi peserta didik untuk mencapai prestasi belajar yang tinggi dan memiliki daya saing. Prestasi tersebut dapat dicapai apabila peserta didik memiliki keyakinan akan kemampuannya untuk melakukan tindakan dalam mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi antara self-efficacy dengan motivasi berprestasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap peserta didik kelas X SMK Negeri Se-Kabupaten Bangka Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode korelasional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik populasi. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 761 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) profil self-efficacy berada pada kategori sedang, (2) profil motivasi berprestasi berada pada kategori sedang, dan (3) Hasil pengujian menghasilkan signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 dan korelasi sebesar 0,639. Artinya, self-efficacy berkorelasi positif signifikan dengan motivasi berprestasi. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi self-efficacy yang dimiliki peserta didik maka akan berimplikasi positif bagi motivasi berprestasi yang diperoleh. Nilai korelasi menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan korelasi antara self-efficacy dengan motivasi berprestasi termasuk dalam kategori kuat.;---The research was conducted due to the importance of self-efficacy to attain high achievement motivation for learners, particularly learners in Vocational Secondary School (SMK) which are equipped not only with theories but expertise and skills to enter the workforce. The existence of self-efficacy that lead to the competitiveness. These achievement can be accomplished when learners have confidence to perform actions in achieving the expected objectives. The purpose of this research was to know the correlation between self-efficacy with students’ achievement motivation. The subject of this research was the first-year students of SMK Negeri Se-Kabupaten Bangka academic year 2016/2017, and this study employed quantitative approach with correlational method. Using the technique of sampling populations. Sample research as much as 761 respondent were analyzed. The results showed that (1) self-efficacy profile are at medium categories, (2) achievement motivation profile is at a medium categories, and (3) the result generate a significant confident is smaller than 0,05 and correlated of 0,639. This means that self-efficacy is correlated with significant positive achievement motivation. This means the higher self-efficacy owned by learners then it will have implications for positive motivation towards achieving good result are obtained. The correlation values shows that the strength of correlational between self-efficacy with the achievement motivation in categories is high.
