Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi dan pemahaman matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan siswa yang mendapat DI. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest postest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Cibeureum kabupaten Kuningan tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan, yaitu : (1) Terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa STAD dengan siswa DI.(2) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapat DI lebih baik secara signifikan daripada siswa yang belajar dengan STAD. (3) Tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi yang signifikan antara siswa kelompok KAM tinggi di kelas STAD dan siswa kelompok KAM rendah di kelas DI. (4) Tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi yang signifikan antara siswa kelompok KAM rendah di kelas STAD dan siswa kelompok KAM rendah di kelas DI. (5) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematis secara signifikan antara siswa kelas STAD dengan siswa kelas DI. (6) Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas STAD lebih baik secara signifikan daripada siswa kelas DI.(7) Tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman yang signifikan antara siswa kelompok KAM tinggi di kelas STAD dan siswa kelompok KAM rendah di kelas DI. (8) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman yang signifikan antara siswa kelompok KAM rendah di kelas STAD dan siswa kelompok KAM rendah di kelas DI.----------This study aims to examine differences in communication skills and mathematical understanding between students who get STAD cooperative learning and students who get DI. This study is a quasi experimental study with study pretest-posttest design. The subject of this research was fifth grade students in one of elementary school in Cibeureum Kuningan of academic year 2016/2017. Obtained some conclusions, namely: (1) There are differences in achievement of' mathematical communication skills between students with STAD and students with DI. (2) The increase in mathematical communication skills of students gets DI significantly better than students who learned with STAD. (3) There are no differences in the significant improvement of communication capabilities between student groups KAM STAD high grade and low KAM group students in class DI. (4) There is no differences of significant increase communication capabilities between student at lower group KAM in STAD class and lower group KAM students in class of DI. (5) There are differences in the ability of understanding mathematical significantly between students with STAD and students with DI . (6) Increasing the capability of mathematical understanding STAD class significantly better than students in DI class. (7) There is no significant different in improvement of ability and understanding between the students at high KAM group in the STAD class and the students at low KAM group in the DI class. (8) There are significant differences in ability increasing in understanding between the student with low KAM in the class of STAD and the students with the low KAM in class of DI.
