Abstract

Media visual animasi merupakan suatu media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam
pembelajaran PPKn. Melalui media visual animasi peneliti menciptakan suatu pembelajaran
yang menyenangkan, sehingga peserta didik dapat mengikuti dan memahami materi yang
disampaikan guru. Penggunaan media visual animasi digunakan dalam pembelajaran yakni
dengan bermaksud dapat mengukur kecerdasan berdemokrasi yang dimiliki oleh peserta
didik kelas VII di SMPN 44 Bandung. Kecerdasan berdemokrasi merupakan suatu
kemampuan yang harus dimiliki setiap peserta didik dalam mewujudkan sikap demokratis
dalam pembelajaran PPKn sehingga dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Jika
kecerdasan berdemokrasi yang dimiliki peserta didik masih rendah berarti pembelajaran
PPKn masih dapat dikatakan belum berhasil. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan masalah
yang ditemukan pada pengamatan awal mengenai rendahnya kecerdasan berdemokrasi dalam
pembelajaran PPKn di kelas VII SMPN 44 Bandung. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah
tersebut maka peneliti mencoba menggunakan solusi berupa penggunaan media visual
animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar media visual animasi
berpengaruh terhadap kecerdasan berdemokrasi peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PPKn.
Peneliti menggunakan studi deskriptif dengan populasinya yaitu kelas VII di SMPN 44
Bandung. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan probability
random sampling, maka yang menjadi sampel adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 44
Bandung sebanyak 159 orang. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket dan observasi
dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, korelasi dan analisis regresi. Temuan
pada penelitian ini yaitu: 1) peran Guru PPKn dalam mempersiapkan penggunaan media
visual animasi sebagai media pembelajaran adalah melalui penyusunan RPP dengan sangat
matang agar peserta didik dapat memerhatikan dengan seksama sehingga proses
pembelajaran dapat terlaksana sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. 2) Proses pelaksanaan
penggunaan media visual animasi tepat digunakan dalam menjelaskan materi
mempertahankan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Proses penggunaan media visual
animasi dalam pembelajarn oleh guru PPKn pada siswa kelas VII sangat baik untuk
meningkatkan kecerdasan bermokrasi peserta didik. 3) Hasil dari penggunaan media visual
animasi terhadap kecerdasan berdemokrasi dalam pembelajaran PPKn memiliki pengaruh
sebesar 35,9%.----------Animation visual media is a teaching media that can be applied by the teacher in the
classroom while teaching civics education to the students. Through this media the
researcher created a teaching method that enjoyable for the students so they can
follow and also understand what the teacher wanted them to know. This research was
applied for seven grade student in SMPN 44 Bandung to found out the effectivity of
animation visual media to measure the student comprehension in democracy subject.
The ability of understanding democracy for students is very important so the students
can apply it in their real life activities with the society. If The ability of understanding
democracy of students is still low, it means the civics education in school fail to do
their responsibility. The study was conducted based on the problems found in the
initial observation about the low democratic intelligence in learning PPKn in class
VII SMPN 44 Bandung. Based on the background of the problem then the researchers
tried to use a solution in the form of the use of visual media animation. This study
aims to find out how big visual animation media affect the intelligence of democracy
learners in learning PPKn. Researchers use descriptive study with the population of
class VII at SMPN 44 Bandung. Sampling in this study is by using probability
random sampling, then the sample is the students class VII SMPN 44 Bandung.
Collection of data by questionnaire and observation is analyzed with descriptive
statistics, normality test, correlation and regression analysis. The findings of this
research are: 1) the role of PPKn Teachers in preparing the use of visual media
animation as a medium of learning is through the preparation of RPP very mature so
that learners can pay attention carefully so that the learning process can be
implemented in accordance with the learning objectives. 2) The process of
implementing the appropriate use of visual animation media is used in explaining the
material of maintaining the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The process of
using visual media animation in the learning by the teacher of PPKn on the grade VII
student is very good to improve students' bureaucratic intelligence. 3) The result of
the use of visual media animation to the democracy intelligence in learning PPKn
has the effect of 35.9%.
