Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis melalui strategi REACT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IIB SD Negeri C Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 dengan jumlah 33 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui hasil tes belajar mata pelajaran matematika. Data dianalisis dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pada pra siklus, diperoleh rata-rata nilai pemahaman konsep matematis sebesar 54.14 dengan kategori kurang berdasarkan kriteria penilaian dalam Permendikbud No. 53. Terjadi peningkatan rata-rata pada siklus I menjadi 90.4 dengan kategori sangat baik, dan peningkatan menjadi 97.6 pada siklus II yang dikategorikan sangat baik. Pada pra siklus, diperoleh persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 7% yang dikategorikan kurang berdasarkan presentase kriteria ketuntasan hasil belajar dalam Depdiknas yakni sebesar 85%. Terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 96% yang dikategorikan tinggi, dan peningkatan menjadi 100% pada siklus II yang dikategorikan tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi REACT dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas IIB SD Negeri C Kota Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017.----------This study aims to improve students’ understanding of mathematical concepts through the use of REACT strategy. Classroom action research is conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 33 students of IIB SD Negeri C Kota Bandung School Year 2016/2017. The data were collected through the mathematic learning outcomes test. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive statistical analysis method. The analysis indicates that there is an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts.. On Pre cycle, the average of mathematical concepts understanding score reached 54.14 and is categorized as deficient according to assesment criteria by Permendikbud No. 53. Its also reveals an increase on the average of mathematical concepts understandings score to 90.9 in cycle I wich is categorized very good, and an increase of 97.6 wich is categorized as very good in cycle II. On the pre cycle, the percentage of learning achievement reached 7% and is categorized as deficient according to the percentage of minimum standard criteria by Depdiknas that is equal to 85%. It also reveals an increase on the learning understanding of mathematical concepts become 96% in cycle I which is categorized as high, and an increase of 100% which is categorized as high in cycle II. It is concluded that the REACT strategy can improve the second grade students’ understanding of mathematical concepts.
