ABSTRAK PEMBINAAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN ANAK DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE HAABITUASI DI PANTI ASUHAN” (Studi Deskriptif di Panti Asuhan Al-Kautsar Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat) Pada hakikatnya seorang anak yang masih dikatakan remaja dan dalam pengawasan orang tua masih berjuang untuk menemukan jati dirinya sendiri, jika dihadapkan pada keadaan luar atau lingkungan yang kurang serasi penuh kontradiksi dan labil, maka akan mudahlah mereka jatuh kepada permasalahan batin, hidup penuh kecemasan, merasa tidak diperhatikan sehingga bertindak sesuka mereka. Hal seperti ini telah menyebabkan remaja-remaja Indonesia jatuh pada permasalahan perilaku dan karakter yang membawa bahaya terhadap dirinya sendiri baik sekarang, maupun di kemudian hari. berbagai factor yang mempengaruhi buruknya karakter anak mulai dari factor lingkungan, pergaulan bebas dan pendidikan menjadi dampak dari degradasi moral dan krisis karakter bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya dalam membina anak supaya memiliki karakter disiplin sebagai fundamental anak dalam mengembangkan karakter bangsa lainnnya, melalui metode habituasi yang diterapkan di Panti Asuhan diharapkan bisa menjadi win solution dalam membina karakter disiplin warganegara. Adapun yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini adalah mengenai gambaran karakter disiplin anak panti, program yang mendukung, proses habituasi, hambatan dan upaya yang dilakukan pihak Panti Asuhan dalam membina karakter disiplin anak dengan menggunakan metode habituasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi deskriptif, diharapkan bisa memberikan gambaran lengkap mengenai pembinaan karakter disiplin anak dengan menggunkana metode habituasi di Panti Asuhan. Selama penelitian di Panti Asuhan Al-kautsar lembang dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, ditemukan temuan bahwa proses pembinaan disiplin anak dengan menggunakan metode habituasi dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan program dan jadwal kegiatan yang tersistematis dan dapat diterima oleh anak, memberikan tanggung jawab dan kepercayaan, melakukan pengawasan dan memberi sanksi dan reward sebagai bentuk evaluasi. Melakukan kreasi dalam menerapkan model dan metode pembelajaran serta melakukan pendekatan secara langsung menjadi upaya dalam mengatasi hambatan dalam membina karaketer disiplin anak dengan menggunakan metode habituasi di Panti Asuhan. ABSTRACT The CONSTRUCTION of the DISCIPLINE of CHARACTER USING the HAABITUASI METHOD in the ORPHANAGE " (Descriptive study of Al-kautsar Orphanages in Lembang sub distric Bandung Barat County) The fact that a child who is still said to be teenager and in the supervision of the parents still struggling to find his/her own identity, if he/she exposed to the outside environments or circumstances that are less full harmonious contradictions and unstable, it will be easy that they fell to inner problems, life is full of anxiety, did not feel cared, so they acted as they want. This problems have caused teenager Indonesia fell into behavior and character problems that posed a danger to themselves from now or later. Variety of factors that affect poor character of children are begun from environmental factors, free association and bad education become the factors that make the moral degradation and give the impact to the crisis of national character. This research aims to know the efforts in fostering the child so he/she has the character of the discipline as a child in developing his/her other fundamental character of the nation, through habituation method applied in Orphanages could be expected to win solution to discipline the character in fostering a citizen. The focus of the research is about the depiction of the character of the discipline of children, programs that support the habituation process, obstacles and efforts are being made by Orphanage caretakers in foster children with discipline characters using the method of habituation. By using qualitative approaches and descriptive study methods, are expected to be able to give a complete overview about the construction of the discipline of character with using the method of habituation in the orphanage. During research in the Al-kautsar orphanage Lembang, techniques have been used are observation, interview and documentation, it was found that the findings of the process of the construction of the discipline of a child by using the method of habituation can be done by providing programs and activities in systematic ways and can be accepted by children, gave the responsibility and trust, conducted surveillance and gave the sanction and reward as a form of evaluation. Caretakers did a creative way in applying the model and learning methods and approaches directly become the effort to overcoming the obstacles in building the character of the discipline of a child by using the method of habituation in the orphanage.
