Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterampilan berbicara pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV di salah satu SD masih rendah. Hal ini ditandai berdasarkan daftar nilai keterampilan berbicara pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia nilai rata-ratanya hanya 60,35. Nilai yang diperoleh masih di bawah KKM (70). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampian berbicara siswa kelas IV SD dengan menerapkan metode sosiodrama. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang diadaptasi dari Kemmis dan MC. Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV. Peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan menerapkan metode sosiodrama dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas IV SD dapat dilihat dari persentase kategori pada aspek kebahasaan yang terdiri dari lafal, intonasi, ekspresi, dan dialog serta aspek Non Kebahasaan yang terdiri dari kenyaringan suara, keberanian, kelancaran, dan pandangan. Untuk setiap aspeknya sudah mengalami peningkatan. Peningkatan keterampilan berbicara dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata kelas. Aspek kebahasaan dari 67,3, meningkat menjadi 68,3, dan menjadi 81,5. Sedangkan aspek Non Kebahasaan dari 61,3, meningkat menjadi 65,3, dan menjadi 75,5. Hal tersebut membuktikan peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa pada setiap siklusnya.;---This study was motivated by the student’s speaking skills of Indonesian language subject of fourth grade students in one of elementary school which is still under the score’s average. It can be proved by seeing the average score of speaking in Indonesian language subject’s which is only 60,35. The scores obtained is still below the KKM (70). The purpose of this research is to improve speaking aspect of fourth graders of elementary school by applying sociodrama method. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which adapted from Kemmis and MC. Taggart. The study was conducted in three cycles. The subject of this research is the fourth grade students. The improvement of students' speaking skills by applying the sociodrama method in learning process in the fourth grade of elementary school can be seen from the percentage of categories the language aspect consisting of pronounciation, intonation, expression, and dialogue and non-language aspect consisting of loudness, courage, fluency, and views. For each categories has been improved. This speaking skill’s improvement can be seen from the class average’s scores. The language categories of 67.3, increased to 68.3, and became 81.5. While the non-language categories of 61.3, increased to 65.3, and became 75.5. This is proven the students' speaking skills improvement in each cycle.
