Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan menulis puisi siswa. Kemampuan siswa dalam pelajaran menulis masih kurang dalam mengembangkan ide, ejahan, tata basa, dan imajinasi. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) kemampuan siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur dalam menulis puisi sebelum menggunakan metode sugestopedia; (2) kemampuan siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur dalam menulis puisi sesudah menggunakan metode sugestopedia; dan (3) beda kemampuan antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode sugestopedia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen. Tekniknya adalah teknik tes. Sumber datanya siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur sebanyak 36 siswa. Analisis data dengan cara analisis statistik, yaitu uji normalitas data menggunakan uji Shapiro Wilk, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji nonparametrik Wilxocon. Hasil Penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: (1) kemampuan siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur dalam menulis puisi sebelum menggunakan metode sugestopedia siswa belum mampu menulis puisi, rata-rata nilainya 51,38; (2) kemampuan siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur dalam menulis sajak sesudah menggunakan metode sugestopedia siswa mampu menulis puisi, rata-ratanya 85,27; dan (3) jadi ada beda yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode sugestopedia berdasarkan hasil uji nonparametrik Wilxocon, bahwa nilai signifikansi (Asymp Sig. 2-tailed) adalah 0,000 < 0,05, maka H1 diterima atau Ho ditolak artinya hipotesis diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa metode sugestopedia dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur tahun ajaran 2016/2017.,---The background of this study was risen from the students’ lack of ability to write poetry. This study is aimed to describe (1) students’ poetry writing ability before the implementation of sugetsopedia method; (2) students’ poetry writing ability after the implementation of sugestopedia method; and (3) the difference between students’ outcomes before and after the implementation of sugestopedia method. The research methodology of this study is a quasi-experimental using tests technique. The data gained from the students of XI IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Cianjur which consists of 36 students. The data was analyzed using statistical analysis, namely normality test data using Shapiro Wilk test, and hypothesis tests using Wilxocon nonparametric test. The results of this study states that: (1) writing poem skill before using suggestopedia students were not able to write poetry appropriately, the average score is 51.38; (2) writing poem skill after using suggestopedia students’ ability to write poetry were increased, the average score is 85.27; and (3) so there is a significant difference between before and after using sugestopedia method based on the results of Wilxocon nonparametric tests, that the significance value (Sig Asymp. 2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05, then H1 was accepted or Ho was rejected it means that the hypothesis is accepted. It is proven that suggestopedia method can improve students’ poetry writing ability in XI IPA 6 classroom of SMAN 1 Cianjur 2016/2017 year of study.
