Abstract

Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa kelas X konsentrasi Administrasi Perkantoran pada mata pelajaran mengelola peralatan kantor di SMK Karya Pembangunan Baleendah. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan naik turunnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran tersebut selama periode tiga tahun. Rendahnya minat dan motivasi belajar menjadi fokus kajian dalam penelitian yang dilakukan sebagai variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap nilai siswa yang fluktuatif tersebut. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaruh dari minat dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengadopsi metode eksplanatory survey. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara penyebaran angket dengan model skala likert kepada 47 orang siswa kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar dan motivasi belajar berada kategori sedang dan hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori rendah. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran tersebut. Untuk meningkatkan keterkaitan diantara variabel yang diteliti, komunikasi antara guru dan siswa, pemilihan metode dan penyediaan media ajar yang bervariasi, serta pengenalan dan penanganan aspirasi siswa menjadi beberapa hal yang direkomendasikan oleh penelitian ini untuk ditingkatkan.;---The problem under research is the low learning interest and motivation of the tenth grade students of Office Administration concentration in the subject of Office Equipment Management at SMK Karya Pembangunan Baleendah. This is marked by students’ fluctuating learning outcomes in the subject for three years. The low learning interest and motivation becomes the focus of this research and made as the variables affecting students’ fluctuating learning outcomes. With the aim of finding the levels of effects of students’ learning interest and motivation on learning outcomes, the research adopted the explanatory survey method. Data were collected by distributing a Likert scale questionnaire to 47 tenth grade students of Office Administration who were the respondents of this research. The data were further analyzed with simple and double regressions. The findings indicate that students’ learning interest and learning motivation were at the moderate category, and their learning outcomes were at the low category. The results of hypothesis testing show that learning interest and learning motivation had positive effects on students’ learning outcomes in the subject. To improve the interrelatedness of the variables under research, communication between teachers and students, selection of various learning methods and media, and introduction to and management of students’ aspiration become several recommendations for improvement.
