Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi berprestasi yang ditunjukkan siswa SMK Yadika Soreang Kab.Bandung. Motivasi berprestasi merupakan salah satu komponen pembelajaran terpenting karena merupakan penyebab utama siswa melibatkan diri atau tidak dalam aktifitas belajarnya. Siswa yang memiliki motivasi berprestasi yang tinggi akan memiliki kepuasan yang tinggi pula terhadap aktivitas belajar yang dapat meningkatkan prestasi. Tujuan utama yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan motivasi berprestasi yang signifikan pada siswa yang telah menggunakan model pembelajaran Roleplaying. Kajian teori motivasi berprestasi dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan dari teori motivasi berprestasi (achievement motivation) David Mc Clelland (1952) dan teori model pembelajaran Role playing dikembangkan dari teori George Shaftel (1967). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMK Yadika Soreang Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017 sebanyak 58 siswa Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan untuk mengungkap motivasi berprestasi siswa dikumpulkan melalui instrumen berupa angket dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Data dianalisis dengan teknik membandingkan antara skor tes awal (pre test) dan tes akhir (post test). Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Mann U Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Role playing efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa kelas X SMK Yadika Soreang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka guru dapat mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran role playing dalam proses pembelajaran dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa.;--- This research was based on the low achievement motivation of Tenth Grade students at SMK Yadika Soreang Kab.Bandung. Achievement motivation is one of the most important learning component as it is the main cause of whether students involved in learning activities or not. Students who have high achievement motivation will also have a high satisfaction on learning activities that is able to improve student’s achievement. The main purpose of this research is to find out whether there was any significant increasing of achievement motivation or not for students who have been taught by using Roleplaying model. The study of achievement motivation theory in this research was developed from the Achievement Motivation Theory by David Mc Clelland (1952) and Role Playing Model Theory by George Shaftel (1967). The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental and the design used in this research is nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this research were 58 students of tenth grade at SMK Yadika Soreang . The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling technique. The data were used to reveal student achievement motivation were collected through a questionnaire instrument using a Likert scale. Data analyzed by comparing the test scores of the initial (pre-test) and final test (post-test). Data were analyzed using the Mann U Whitney. The research results showed that roleplaying model is effective to improve student achievement motivation in the tenth grade of SMK Yadika Soreang. Based on that, teacher can implement roleplaying model in the learning process with the hope of improving student achievement motivation.
