Abstract

Poster adalah sebuah karya seni publikasi yang memuat serangkaian informasi persuasif untuk sebuah acara, kegiatan atau rencana lainnya. Tampilan atau visual pada poster merupakan perwakilan dari tujuan suatu hal yang ingin disampaikan. Sebelum kepada poster film yang sesungguhnya, umumnya terdapat beberapa tampilan poster yang bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi waktu penanyangan dan karakter yang akan bermain pada film tersebut antara lain Teaser poster, Character Poster, dan International Poster. Poster yang menjadi bahan kajian adalah poster film pendek dari rumah produksi Babibutafilm yang megambil tema “ Mengalami Kemanusiaan” antara lain The Fox Exploits The Tiger’s Might, Kisah Cinta Yang Asu, dan Following Diana. Film pendek ajang festival diatas dipilih berdasarkan kualitas cerita dan penyajian film yang sangat dekat dengan kehidupan masyarakat bangsa ini, dengan kemampuan penyajian durasi yang singkat. Ditambah film-film diatas banyak mendapatkan apresiasi positif dan penghargaan didunia internasional. Adapun rumusan masalah dari kajian ini adalah bagaimana visualisasi konsep film kedalam poster dan visual poster yang meliputi ilustrasi, tipografi, tata letak, logo apresiasi atau penghargaan dan klasisfikasi lainnya yang terdapat pada ketiga poster film dengan tema “ Mengalami Kemanusiaan” tersebut. Pada kajian ini metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik melalui pendekatan kualitatif, yang dimana peneliti menjadi instrument penelitian utama dalam penelitian ini, dengan instrumen lain berupa studi dokumentasi, studi pustaka, wawancara serta referensi tertulis lainnya. Temuan dari kajian ini adalah, bahwa seluruh poster menggunakan teknik digital ilustration dan menyiratkan karakter utama kedalam bentuk atau objek lain. Selain itu, poster festival terutama ketiga poster ini memiliki ruang lingkup pemasaran sendiri seperti target penonton dan tema yang dibawakan, sehingga terkesan lebih bebas dan ekspresif. Kata kunci : Kajian Visual, Poster film, Film Pendek, Babibutafilm. Poster is a work of art publication that contains a series of persuasive information for an event, activity or other plans. Prior to the actual movie poster, generally there are multiple displays posters that aim to provide time information and the broadcast of characters that will play in the film, include a teaser poster, Character Poster, and International Poster. The writer examined three short movie posters which took a “Being a Human” theme from the Babibutafilm production house, among others, The Fox Exploits The Tiger's Might, Kisah Cinta Yang Asu, and Following Diana. Those three short movie festival selected based on the quality of the story and the presentation of the film is very close to the nation's public or people’s life, with the presentation capabilities of short duration. Plus over many a positive appreciation and respect from international opinion. The formulation of the problem of this study is how the visualization concept into a movie poster and visual poster that includes illustrations, typography, layout, logo or the respect and appreciation of other classification contained in the third movie poster with the theme "Being a Human" is. In this study the method used is descriptive analytic rehabilitated and reconstructed by a qualitative approach, in which the researcher becomes a major research instrument in this study, with the other instruments in the form of documentary studies, literature studies, interviews and other written references. The findings from this study are the entire poster using digital illustration techniques and does not imply the main character into other shape or object. And so, the film festival’s poster, especially this three has the scope of marketing and the themes, so it will seemed more free and expressive.
