Abstract

Berdasarkan survei penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada salah satu SMK di Bandung, materi yang paling sulit dipahami oleh siswa adalah materi keamanan jaringan dengan persentase sebesar 20,8% dibandingkan dengan materi lain yang berkaitan dengan ilmu komputer. Perlu adanya keselarasan muatan teori dan praktik agar siswa memahami sepenuhnya apa yang sedang dipelajari dan berguna untuk meningkatkan kualitas mereka di dunia kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang dan membangun multimedia interaktif berbasis Game Capture The Flag (CTF) dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi keamanan jaringan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development disertai dengan instrumen-instrumen penelitian yang mendukung. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagai berikut: 1) Multimedia interaktif tersebut telah dirancang, dibangun dan dinilai baik serta layak digunakan dengan rata-rata persentase kelayakan 96% oleh ahli media dan 96% oleh ahli materi; 2) Multimedia interaktif tersebut memberikan peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebelum menggunakan multimedia sebesar 27,40 dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata sesudah menggunakan multimedia interaktif sebesar 72,40 dan diperkuat dengan perhitungan Indeks Gain dengan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0,61 dengan kriteria sedang, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa meningkat; 3) Siswa menanggapi dengan memberikan penilaian yang baik terhadap multimedia interaktif tersebut dengan persentase penilaian yang dibagi menjadi tiga aspek yaitu: a) Persentase sebesar 75,70% untuk aspek perangkat lunak. b) Persentase sebesar 78,30% untuk aspek pembelajaran. c) Persentase sebesar 77,40% untuk aspek komunikasi visual. Based on the survey of research that has been done in one of SMK in Bandung, the most difficult material to understand by students is network security with percentage of 20.8% compared with the other material related to computer science. It should takes harmony between theory and practice so that students fully understand what is being studied and is useful for improving their quality in the working world. The purpose of this research is to design and build interactive multimedia based on Capture The Flag (CTF) game with the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to enhance students comprehension on the material of network security. The research method used is the Research and Development accompanied by instruments that support research. The results were obtained as follows: 1) Interactive multimedia software have been designed and built and is considered good and fit for use by the average percentage of the feasibility of 96% by media experts and 96% by material experts. 2) Interactive multimedia provide increased average value before using multimedia amounted to 27.40 compared with the average value after using interactive multimedia 72.40 and reinforced with Gain index calculation with the increasing capability of understanding has increased by 0.61 with medium criteria, this suggests that student comprehension increased; 3) Students respond by giving good ratings to the interactive multimedia with the percentage of votes that is divided into three aspects: a) The percentage of 75.70% for the software aspect. b) The percentage of 78.30% for the learning aspect. c) The percentage of 77.40% for aspects of visual communication.
