Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi asumsi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi optimisme dan pesimisme pada remaja berlatar belakang orang tua bercerai adalah konsep diri. Remaja yang orang tuanya bercerai memiliki konsep diri positif cenderung optimis dan remaja dengan konsep diri negatif cenderung pesimis. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan hubungan konsep diri dengan optimisme dan pesimisme pada remaja yang memiliki latar belakang orang tua bercerai di SMPN 4 Jampangtengah Kab.Sukabumi tahun ajaran 2015-2016. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan studi deskripti dan desain statistik korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara konsep diri dengan optimisme. Meningkat atau menurunnya optimisme peserta didik berlatar belakang orang tua bercerai di SMPN 4 Jampangtengah Kab.Sukabumi dipengaruhi oleh konsep diri sebesar 0,304 dengan p=0,015. Optimisme yang dialami peserta didik selalu diikuti pula oleh peningkatan pada konsep diri. (2) Terdapat hubungan negatif dan tidak signifikan antara konsep diri dan pesimisme. Meningkat atau menurunnya pesimisme peserta didik berlatar belakang orang tua bercerai tidak selalu dipengaruhi konsep diri. Konsep diri positif pada peserta didik diikuti dengan pesimisme yang rendah. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada Konselor/guru Bimbingan dan Konseling berupa rancangan program hipotetik sebagai rujukan dalam memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling pribadi dan sosial agar mengurangi dampak negatif dari pesimisme peserta didik. ; The background of the research is an assumption that one of the factors that influence optimism and pessimism in adolescents with divorced parents are self-concept. Adolescents with divorced parents who have a positive self-concept tends to be optimistic and adolescents who have a negative self-concept rather pessimistic. The research aims to describe the self-concept relationship with optimism and pessimism in adolescents who have divorced parents in SMPN 4 Jampangtengah Kab.Sukabumi Academic Year 2015/2016. The research using a quantitative approach with descriptive study and correlational statistical design. The results showed (1) There is a positive and significant relationship between self-concept and optimism. Increase or decrease in optimism students with parents divorced in SMPN 4 Jampangtengah Kab.Sukabumi is influenced by the concept of self r=0,304 and p=0,015. Optimism are always followed by an increase in self-concept. (2) There is no significant relationship between the negative self-concept and pessimism. Increasing or decreasing pessimism students with divorced parents are not always influenced by the concept of self. Positive self-concept among students followed by lower pessimism. Recommendations to counselor / guidance and counseling teacher is a hypothetical program design for reference in providing personal and social guidance and counseling services to reduce the negative impact of pessimism.
