    Abstract

    Penelitian dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya fenomena kesulitan dalam komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMA. Sesuai dengan perkembangan kognitif siswa SMA yang sudah dalam tahap operasional formal, maka metode Task-Based Learning merupakan salah satu metode yang tepat untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara empirik keefektifan program Task-Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Penelitian ini dikembangkan oleh teori dasar menurut Denise Solomon dan Jane Willis. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bandung tahun ajaran 2015/ 2016. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa Task-Based Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Bandung.

    The study is based on a phenomenon of interpersonal communication difficulties in high school students. In accordance with the cognitive development of high school students who are already in the formal operational stage, the methods Task-Based Learning is one of the appropriate methods to improve students' interpersonal communication. The purpose of this study was to determine empirically the effectiveness of the Task-Based Learning program in improving the interpersonal communication skills of students. This study was developed by the basic theory by Denise Solomon and Jane Willis. The approach used is a quantitative research, with research subjects class XI student of SMAN 5 Bandung academic year 2015 / 2016. This study resulted in that Task-Based Learning is effective in improving interpersonal communication skills class XI student of SMAN 5 Bandung.
