Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tipe Integrated yang berorientasi literasi sains pada Tema Sinar Matahari dan Kehidupan di Bumi, serta mengimplementasikannya di dalam pembelajaran. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX di satu SMP Negeri di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahap implementasinya menggunakan metode The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data diperoleh dari penilaian bahan ajar, tes literasi sains, skala sikap, angket, format wawancara, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tipe Integrated dapat melatih literasi sains siswa aspek konten, proses, dan sikap sains. Bahan ajar ini memiliki keunggulan pada konten Peran sinar Matahari pada Bumi, Gerhana, dan Peran Sinar Matahari pada Tumbuhan. Bahan ajar ini dapat melatih keterampilan menggunakan bukti ilmiah, dan sikap tanggungjawab terhadap sumber daya dan lingkungan. Dalam pembelajaran, bahan ajar berhasil dilaksanakan pada tahap mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasikan, dan mengkomunikasikan, dengan tingkat ketercapaian cukup baik. Hasil tes menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tipe Integrated dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Peningkatan proses sains untuk indikator mengidentifikasi isu ilmiah, menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah, dan menggunakan bukti ilmiah secara berturut-turut termasuk kategori rendah, rendah, dan sedang. Sementara itu, peningkatan sikap sains untuk indikator mendukung inkuiri ilmiah, ketertarikan terhadap isu ilmiah, dan tanggungjawab terhadap sumber daya dan lingkungan termasuk kategori rendah. Bahan ajar IPA Terpadu tipe Integrated ditanggapi positif oleh guru dan siswa, namun perlu perbaikan dalam melatih siswa dalam konten Peran Sinar Matahari pada Kesehatan; dan dalam melatih keterampilan mengidentifikasi isu-isu ilmiah dan bersikap mendukung inkuiri ilmiah.;---The purpose of this study is to develop Integrated Science teaching materials based on science literacy for Theme Sunlight and Life on Earth, and to implement it in learning. Subjects are students of ninth grade of a Junior High School in Bandung. This study uses a Research and Development (R & D); and the implementation phase used one group pretest-posttest design. Data was collected from learning material assessment, science literacy skills test, attitude scale, questionnaire, interview, and learning observation sheets. This learning materials can practice students’scientific literacy skills for content, process, and attitude of science. It has some advantages on content The Role of Sunlight on Earth, Eclipse, The Role of Sunlight on Plants. It practices students to have using scientific evidence skills; also to have responsibility towards resources and environment. In learning, teaching materials has been carried out on the stage to observe, ask, gather information, to associate, and communicate, with the level of achievement is good enough. The test results showed that the Integrated Sciences teaching material can improve students' scientific literacy. Increased scientific process to identify scientific issues, explaining phenomena scientifically, and use scientific evidence in category low, low, and medium. Meanwhile, the increase in the attitude of science to support scientific inquiry, interest in scientific issues, and responsibility towards resources and the environment is low. Integrated science teaching material is good responsed by teachers and students, but needs improvement in practicing students in the content Role of Sunlight on Health; and in practicing the skills of identifying scientific issues and be supportive of scientific inquiry.
