Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya orientasi karir dalam kehidupan remaja yang berada pada usia Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Berdasarkan profil orientasi karir siswa anak jalanan kelas VIII Sekolah Master Indonesia sebagian besar termasuk dalam kategori cukup mampu, namun tidak berdasarkan potensi yang dimiliki. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas bimbingan dengan teknik role playing untuk mengembangkan orientasi karir siswa anak jalanan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode eksperiman desain repeated measures. Instrumen dirumuskan berdasarkan aspek-aspek orientasi karir menurut teori Donald E. Super dengan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji Wilcoxon satu sisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor siswa eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah intervensi serta adanya perubahan perilaku pada tiap sesi bimbingan dengan dua aspek yang terdiri dari empat indikator, yaitu: aspek sikap terdiri dari perencanaan dan eksplorasi karir, dan aspek pengetahuan terdiri dari informasi dunia kerja dan keputusan karir. Rekomendasi hasil penelitian ditujukan kepada: (1) Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling agar lebih kreatif memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling; (2) mentor SMI Depok dapat menggunakan teknik role playing sebagai alternatif pengajaran di sekolah; dan (3) peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian yang serupa tetapi dengan variabel terikat yang berbeda.;--- This research was motivated by the importance of career orientation for adolescents who were at Junior school. Based on students' career orientation profile student’s street children in grade VIII School Master Indonesia were at quite capable category not by their potentials. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the guidance with role playing techniques to develop students' career orientation of student’s street children. This research used a quantitative approach with repeated measures design experimental method. Instrument was formulated by career orientation aspects according to Donald E. Super theory with one-sided Wilcoxon test techniques analysis. The results showed that students' scores experiment before and after the intervention increase behavior of each counseling session with two aspect consists of four indicators, namely: attitude aspect consists of the planning and career exploration and aspects of knowledge consists of information of work and career decisions. This research was recommended to: (1) Teacher for Guidance and Counseling more creative providing counseling services; (2) mentor SMI Depok used role playing techniques as alternative teaching in schools; and (3) further researchers conducted similar studies with a different dependent variable.
