Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Motivasi Kerja Guru di SDN se-Kecamatan Conggeang Kabupaten Sumedang”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya fenomena tingkat kehadiran dan prestasi guru yang cukup, rendahnya keterlibatan guru-guru dalam setiap kegiatan sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah probability sampling dengan cara proportionate stratified random sampling, dengan 111 responden pada 19 Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kecamatan Conggeang. Berdasarkan pengolahan data yang dilakukan dengan perhitungan WMS (Weight Means Scored) menunjukkan rata-rata kecenderungan umum untuk variabel Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan variabel Motivasi Kerja Guru berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil uji koefisien korelasi antara variabel X dan variabel Y diperoleh skor sebesar 0,609 yang menunjukkan bahwa variabel X dan variabel Y memiliki hubungan yang “kuat”. Hasil uji signifikansi menunjukkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel Y dengan hasil uji determinasi yaitu variabel X memberikan pengaruh sebesar 37,1% terhadap variabel Y, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 62,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Selanjutnya adalah hasil uji regresi yang menunjukkan Ŷ=19,547+0,609X yang bersifat signifikan dan linier, artinya bahwa setiap kepemimpinan kepala sekolah akan meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru sebesar 0,609. Adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh kuat yang positif dan signifikan dari kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi kerja guru di SDN se-Kecamatan Conggeang Kabupaten Sumedang. ; This research entitles “The Influence of Headmaster’s Leadership towards Teachers’ Work-Motivation in junior high school in the level of Conggeang sub-district, Sumedang district.” This research is postulated due to the existence of phenomena, the existence of the phenomenon on the sufficient of the level of attendance and achievements of teachers, and the low participation of teachers in any school activities. The method used in this research is descriptive method embracing quantitative approach. The sample technique used in this research is probability sampling in the ways of proportionate stratified random sampling, resulting 111 respondents in 19 junior high school in Conggeang district. Based on data analysis by using WMS calculation (Weight Means Scored), the results show the average general tendency for variable the headmaster’s leadership variable Y the teachers’ motivation categorized as very high. The results of correlation test between X variable and Y variable obtain score of 0.609 showing that X variable strongly influences towards Y variable. The results of significance test show that X variable influences positively and significantly towards Y variable with the results of determination test in which X variable gives an influence of 37.1 % towards Y variable, on the one hand, its remaining of 62.9% is influenced by other factors. The next finding is the regression test showing Ŷ=19,547+0,609X having the characteristic which are significant and linier, in other words each leadership of the headmaster will increase teachers’ work-motivation of 0.609. In addition, the conclusion of this research is that there is the strongly positive and significant influence from the headmaster’s leadership towards teachers’ work-motivation in junior high school in the level of Conggeang sub-district, Sumedang district.
