Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dalam buku teks kimia kelas XI yang digunakan di sebagian besar SMA/MA di Kota Bandung berdasarkan kriteria tahap seleksi dari Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S TMD). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian evaluatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode studi dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan metode analisis konten. Berdasarkan kriteria kesesuaian materi dengan tuntutan kurikulum, diketahui bahwa materi dalam buku teks belum sesuai sepenuhnya dengan tuntutan kurikulum. Dari segi keluasan materi, tidak terdapat tiga konsep yang dituntut kurikulum sehingga materi dinyatakan kurang luas dan terdapat satu konsep yang tidak dituntut kurikulum sehingga materi dinyatakan terlalu luas. Dari segi kedalaman konsep, lima konsep pada materi dinyatakan kurang dalam. Berdasarkan kriteria kebenaran konsep, diketahui bahwa empat konsep pada materi dalam buku teks dinyatakan tidak benar secara keilmuan. Berdasarkan kriteria nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan, diketahui bahwa nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan pada materi dalam buku teks adalah toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, demokratis, komunikatif, dan tanggungjawab. --- This research aims to determine the properness of solubility and solubility product constant materials in chemistry textbook for grade XI which is mostly used in senior high schools in Bandung based on the selection process criteria of Four Steps Teaching ‎Material Development (4S TMD). This research used qualitative approach with evaluative research type. The data were collected by study documentation method and analyzed by content analysis method. Based on conformity with the demands of the ‎curriculum criterion, it is known that the materials are not yet fully in ‎accordance with the demands of the ‎curriculum. In terms of materials broadness, the materials are less broad because three ‎concepts required by the curriculum are ‎not included in the materials and the materials are too broad because a ‎concept not required by the curriculum is included in the materials. In terms of concepts depth criterion, five concepts in the materials are less deep. Based on concepts validity criterion, it is known that four concepts in the materials are invalid scientifically. Based on inculcation of values criterion, it is known that values inculcated in the materials are tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, democracy, communicative skills, and responsibility.
