Abstract
Siswa di abad ke-21 harus memiliki seperangkat keterampilan, salah satunya keterampilan belajar abad ke-21 4C’s (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, dan Collaboration), yang berbeda bila dibandingkan dengan siswa pada abad sebelumnya. Temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA-Fisika masih dilaksanakan secara direct instruction dan kurang kontekstual. Hasil studi pendahuluan dengan tes tertulis uraian yang mengukur keterampilan Critical Thinking dan Creativity pada siswa pun masih rendah. Model pembelajaran Levels of Inquiry dapat dijadikan solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan abad ke-21 4C’s pada siswa yang masih kurang dalam pengalaman kerja ilmiah di laboratorium. Penelitian quasi-experiment dengan menggunakan Non-equivalen Control Group Design dilakukan di kelas VII pada salah satu SMP Swasta di kota Bandung untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan 4C’s siswa setelah penerapan Levels of Inquiry pada topik Kalor dan Perpindahan Kalor dengan asesmen berupa soal uraian untuk keterampilan Critical Thinking dan Creativity serta rubrik performa untuk keterampilan Collaboration dan Communication. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mengalami tahapan inkuiri sampai dengan Guided Inquiry Laboratory (kelas eksperimen) mengalami peningkatan keterampilan Critical Thinking dan Creativity yang lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang mengalami tahapan inkuiri sampai dengan Demonstrasi Interaktif (kelas kontrol). Begitu pun dengan keterampilan Communication dan Collaboration, rata-rata nilai di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai yang lebih tinggi daripada di kelas kontrol.;--- Students in the 21st century should have a set of learning and innovation skills, one of them is a set of 21st century learning skillscalled 4C’s, which is different when compared with what students need in the previous century. Results of a preliminary study with a written test that measures skills of Critical Thinking and Creativity of students is still low. Levels of Inquiry can be used as a solution to improve the 4C’s skills of students who are still lacking in experience of scientific work in the laboratory. Quasi-experiment research using Nonequivalent Control Group design held in two classes grade VII at Private Junior High School in Bandung to find the increasing of 4C’s skills of students after the implementation of Levels of Inquiry in two classes whith different level of Inquiry on the topic of Heat and Heat Transfer with the assessment of written test and rubric. The results showed that students who experienced the Levels of Inquiry up to Guided Inquiry Laboratory (experimental group) had increased of 4C’s skills higher than students who are experienced the Levels of Inquiry up to Interactive Demonstration (control group).
