Abstract
Penggunaan metode kooperatif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dapat membantu guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dengan metode kooperatif tipe cooperative review pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas XI. Rumusan masalah umum dalam penelitian ini yaitu Apakah terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode koopratif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode cooperative review pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas XI? Sedangkan rumusan masalah khusus dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa aspek fluency, flexibility, elaboration dan originality antara pembelajaran yang menggunaakan metode kooperatif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dengan pembelajaran yang menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe cooperative review pada mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris kelas XI? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol setara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen berjenis tes uraian berpikir kreatif. Teknik penyampelan dilakukan dengan penyempelan klaster (gugus). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan metode kooperatif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan metode kooperatif tipe cooperative review berbantuan media flash card. 2) siswa kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan metode kooperatif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif aspek fluency, flexibility, elaboration dan originality lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa kelas kontrol yang diberikan perlakuan metode kooperatif tipe cooperative review berbantuan media flash card. Karena dengan menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe round table berbantuan media flash card dapat membantu siswa untuk memunculkan bermacam-macam gagasan baru dalam menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan.;---The use of cooperative method type round table with the support of flash card media can help teachers to improve creative thinking ability of their students. This study has a purpose of analyzing and describing the difference on the improvement of students’ creative thinking ability after applying cooperative learning method type round table with the support of flash card media, in comparison with the use of cooperative method type cooperative review in English Subject for Grade XI. This study further proposed a research problem of whether there is a difference on the improvement of students’ creative thinking ability after applying cooperative learning method type round table with the support of flash card media, in comparison with the use of cooperative method type cooperative review in English Subject for Grade XI. Meanwhile, the specific research question of this study is whether there is a difference on the improvement of students’ creative thinking ability in terms of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality after applying cooperative learning method type round table with the support of flash card media, in comparison with the use of cooperative method type cooperative review in English Subject for Grade XI. The research method of this study is quasi experimental method with an equivalent control group design. An essay type test on creative thinking was then used as the instrument of this research, while sampling was conducted by employing cluster sampling technique. To conclude, the results of this study can be summarized as: 1) the students of experimental class treated with cooperative method type round table with the support of flash card media can improve their creative thinking ability better than those of control class who were given a treatment of cooperative method type cooperative review with the support of flash card media. 2) the students of experimental class treated with cooperative method type round table with the support of flash card media can improve their creative thinking ability in terms of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality better than those of control class who were given a treatment of cooperative method type cooperative review with the support of flash card media. Because using cooperative method type round table with the support of flash card media can bring student in variety of new ideas in solving problem.
