Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kelayakan buku teks yang digunakan di sebagian besar SMA/MA negeri di kota Bandung, berdasarkan tiga kriteria tahap seleksi dari Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S TMD), pada materi larutan asam dan basa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluatif dengan metode analisis konten. Terdapat tiga kriteria tahap seleksi dari 4S TMD. Berdasarkan kriteria pertama, yaitu kesesuaian dengan tuntutan kurikulum, diketahui bahwa objek penelitian belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Ditinjau dari keluasan materi, terdapat empat konsep tuntutan kurikulum yang tidak dimuat oleh materi sehingga materi kurang luas dan terdapat satu konsep yang tidak dituntut oleh kurikulum, tetapi dimuat oleh materi sehingga materi terlalu luas. Dengan demikian, secara umum keluasan materi belum sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Ditinjau dari kedalaman konsep, dari 33 konsep tuntutan kurikulum, satu konsep dinyatakan kurang dalam dan tujuh konsep dinyatakan terlalu dalam. Berdasarkan kriteria kedua, yaitu kebenaran konsep, diketahui bahwa terdapat delapan konsep yang belum benar secara keilmuan. Berdasarkan kriteria ketiga, yaitu penanaman nilai, diketahui bahwa nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan pada materi ialah disiplin, komunikatif, demokratis, menghargai prestasi dan toleransi.;---This study was conducted to determine the feasibility of the textbooks which is used in most SMA/MA in Bandung city based on three criteria of the selection process of Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S TMD), in solution of acids and bases material. The type of research is evaluative research by content analysis method. There are three criteria in the selection process of 4S TMD. Based on first criterion, that is conformity with the demands of curriculum, it is known that object of research is not yet fully in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum 2013. In terms of material broadness, there are four concepts required by the curriculum that are not included in the material, so that the material is less broad. In addition, there are one concepts that are not required by the curriculum, but included in the material, so that the material is too broad. Thus, in general, the material broadness is not in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum 2013. Meanwhile, in terms of concepts depth, from 33 concepts demanded by the curriculum, one concepts are less deep and seven concepts are too deep. Based on second criterion, that is concepts validity, it is known that eight concepts invalid scientifically. Based on third criterion, that is inculcation of values, it is known that values inculcated in the material are disciplined, communicative, democratic, achievement appreciation and tolerance.
