Abstract

Melihat begitu pentingnya kepercayaan diri pada setiap individu sangat berpengaruh terhadap segala aspek kehidupan. Faktor-faktor penting seperti lingkungan pergaulan dan jenis kelamin akan sangat mempengaruhi terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri yang akan berpengaruh pula pada aspek lainnya seperti pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pencinta alam terhadap tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif penulis akan menggambarkan perbandingan tingkat kepercayaan diri dan partisipasi antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pencinta alam. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh atau semua anggota populasi ekstrakurikuler pencinta alam GPA SMAN 2 Bandung digunakan sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat kepercayaan diri berjalan lurus dengan tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa, semakin tinggi pula tingkat pastisipasi belajarnya. Hasilnya, tingkat kepercayaan diri laki-laki 80,27% dan tingkat kepercayaan diri perempuan 80,93%, serta tingkat partisipasi laki-laki 80,76% dan tingkat partisipasi perempuan 82,49%. Dengan demikian penulis menyimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler pencinta alam terhadap tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa siswi perempuan dapat mengimbangi bahkan sedikit mengungguli siswa laki-laki dalam tingkat kepercayaan diri maupun dalam tingkat partisipasi dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani.;---Knowing that the importance of confidence in individual influence on all aspects of life. Important factors such as the social environment and gender will influence on the level of confidence which will also affect other aspects such as the learning of physical education in schools. The purpose of this study is to observe the confidence levels of male and female students who joined school extracurricular, in this case mountaineering club, on the level of students’ participation in physical education. By using descriptive comparative method the researcher will describe the comparison of confidence and participation level between male and female students who join mountaineering club. The sampling technique used is a saturated sampling and all members of SMAN 2 Bandung mountaineering club is used as sample. The result shows that the level of confidence goes straight to the students’ participation rate in physical education. The higher students’ confidence levels, the higher the participation rate of learning. As a result, the level of male students’ confidence is 80,27% and the level of female students’ confidence is 80,93% and the level of male students’ participation rate is 80,76% and the level of female students’ participation rate is 82,49%. To sum up, the researcher concluded that the comparison of the confidence level between male and female students who join mountaineering club showing no significant difference. This result indicates that female students can offset or even slightly outperform the male students’ confidence level and participation level in physical education learning.
