Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat pemahaman konsep kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Bandung menjadi latar belakang dilaksanakannya penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model cooperative learning tipe number head together dan two stay two stray terhadap pemahaman konsep. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tiga kelas yaitu kelas XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, dan XI IPS 3. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan counterbalanced design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes tertulis dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji t dan uji mann-whitney. Tingkat pemahaman konsep kelas eksperimen XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 2 berada pada tingkatan sedang, sedangkan XI IPS 3 berada pada tingkatan tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, dan XI IPS 3 model pembelajaran cooperative tipe number head together lebih tinggi dari pada two stay two stray dan metode ceramah. Pada perlakuan pertama, kedua, dan ketiga model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe number head together lebih tingi dari pada tipe two stay two stray dan metode ceramah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe number head together dan two stay two stray.;--- The background of this research is the lack of comprehension on class XI SMA Negeri 6 Bandung. The purpose of this research to determine the influence of the cooperative learning model type number head together and two stay two stray to comprehension. There are three subjects of this research class XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, and XI IPS 3. This research used quasi experimental method with counterbalance design. Data collection done by the written test in the form of multiple choice questions. Hypothesis tested by t test and Mann-Whitney test. Comprehension level on experiment class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2 are at a moderat level, and XI IPS 3 is at a high level. The results showed that the class XI IPS 1, XI IPS 2, and XI IPS 3 the cooperative learning model type the number head together more high than on the type of two stay two stray and lecture method. In treatment of the first, second, and third the cooperative learning model type the number head together more high than on the type of two stay two stray and lecture method. Based on these results we can be concluded that the level of comprehension can be increased by using a model of cooperative learning and number heads together and type two stay two stray.
