Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemapuan peserta didik dalam berfikir kreatif ketika pembelajaran berlangsung. Untuk mengatasi pemasalahan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan media informasi koran PR sebagai penunjang dalam kegiatan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Diawali dengan penyusunan RPP dan melaksanakan tindakan siklus I, siklus II, siklus III dan siklus IV. Sumber yang diambil berdasarkan observasi, catatan lapangan, catatan observasi guru, dan wawancara. Populasi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandung, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-L sebagai kelas yang dijadikan PTK. Pada siklus pertama, hasil observasi mengenai berfikir kreatif peserta didik berada pada kategori “cukup”. Pada siklus kedua, kemampuan berfikir kreatif yang dilakukan peserta didik mengalami peningkatan tetapi masih berada pada kategori “cukup”. Kemudian pada siklus ketiga, kemampuan berfikir kreatif dengan menggunakan media informasi koran mengalami peningkatan kembali dan berada pada kategori “baik”. Pada siklus keempat, sebagai siklus pembuktian berada pada kategori “baik”. Sehingga dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa memanfaatkan media informasi koran PR dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan berfikir kreatif peserta didik.;---The problem in this research is the lack utilize learning resources affects mainly way of thinking of creative thinking. To overcome these set a problem, researchers used information media Pikiran Rakyat newspaper as a support in the learning activities to enhance the ability of creative thinking. The method used is classroom action research (classroom action research) with a model Kemmis and Taggart. Begins with the preparation of the action plan of cooperation group and implement actions I cycle, II cycle, III cycle and IV cycle. Source taken by observation, field notes, teacher observation notes, and interview. The population in this study conducted in class VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandung, while the samples used in this study were students of class VII-L as a class which is used as PTK Implementation of learning to enhance creative thinking by using newspaper information media Pikiran Rakyat within social studies learning can be said to be successful. In the first cycle, the observation of the creative thinking of students that are in the category of "enough". In the second cycle, the ability to think creatively done learners has increased but is still in the category of "enough". Then in the third cycle, the ability to think creatively using information media newspapers increased back and is in the category of "good". On the fourth cycle, as the cycle the proof is in the category of "good". So, from this study it can be concluded, that the use of the media in the learning information Pikiran Rakyat newspaper within social studies learning can enhance creative thinking of students.
