Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Kreativitas Kepala Sekolah terhadap Kapasitas Manajemen Sekolah pada Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung” Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kreativitas kepala sekolah terhadap kapasitas manajemen sekolah pada Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini mencoba memecahkan masalah terkait: 1) bagaimana kapasitas manajemen sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kota Bandung, 2) bagaimana kreativitas kepala sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kota Bandung, 3) Seberapa besar pengaruh kreativitas kepala sekolah terhadap kapasitas manajemen sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Alat yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data yakni berupa angket dan wawancara. Dikarenakan populasi yang terlalu besar, yaitu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung, maka digunakan teknik purposive sampling dimana sampel diambil berdasarkan pertimbangan koordinator pengawas mengenai lima kecamatan yang unggul di Kota Bandung. Berdasarkan pengolahan data, diperoleh Kapasitas Manajemen Sekolah berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi dan Kreativitas Kepala Sekolah juga berada dalam kategori sangat tinggi, keduanya memiliki koefisien korelasi yang cukup kuat. Adapun kapasitas manajemen sekolah tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh kreativitas kepala sekolah namun juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan statistik dapat disimpulkan bahwa kreativitas kepala sekolah memiliki pengaruh yang cukup kuat dan signifikan terhadap kapasitas manajemen sekolah pada Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kota Bandung. Implikasinya yaitu apabila kreativitas kepala sekolah ditingkatkan maka kapasitas manajemen sekolah pun akan meningkat, namun apabila kreativitas kepala sekolah tidak dimunculkan dengan baik maka kapasitas manajemen sekolah harus ditingkatkan oleh faktor lain yang mempengaruhinya. Rekomendasi dalam penelitian ini ditujukan untuk nilai yang paling rendah pada kreativitas kepala sekolah yaitu diharapkan kepala sekolah lebih meningkatkan kegiatan benchmarking dengan pihak luar sekolah mengenai manajemen sekolah.;--- The title of this research is “The Effect of Headmasters’ Creativity toward School Management Capacity of Public Elementary Schools in Bandung”. The research aims to get the information of how headmasters’ creativity affects the school management capacity of public elementary schools in Bandung. The research answers to solve the following questions: 1) How is the school management capacity of public elementary schools in Bandung, 2) How creative are the headmasters of public elementary schools in Bandung? 3) How much affection does the headmasters’ creativity do toward the school management capacity in public elementary school in Bandung? Descriptive method is employed with quantitative approach, and questionnaire and interview as the data collection’s instruments. The population, public elementary school in Bandung, which is too big, causes purposive sampling applied in the research. The sample was taken based on coordinator supervisor’s consideration regarding five superior districts in Bandung. The result of the research shows that the school management capacity is in a very high category and the headmasters’ creativity is also in a very high category, both have a strong enough correlation coefficient. However, that school management capacity is not only affected by the headmasters’ creativity but also affected by other factors. Based on statistics process, it can be concluded that headmasters’ creativity has a strong and significance affection towards school management capacity of public elementary school in Bandung. The implication shows if headmasters’ creativity is increased, then the school management capacity will also increase, but if headmasters’ creativity is not good enough, then the school management capacity must be improved by other affecting factors. The research recommendation is addressed to the lowest score of headmasters’ creativity, which is the headmaster should be able to increase benchmarking activity with school outsiders regarding the school management.
