Abstract

Konsep diri dan keterampilan sosial merupakan dua hal yang penting yang harus dikembangkan sejak usia dini. Permasalahan yang sering ditemui dilapangan adalah masih banyak orang tua ataupun guru yang belum memahami arti pentingnya konsep diri dan keterampilan sosial pada anak. Jika hal ini terus terjadi, maka masa peka anak di usia dini akan terlewati begitu saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan keterampilan sosial anak TK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode korelasional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di TK yang berada di Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung, dengan populasi anak kelompok B sebanyanak 565 anak dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 anak kelompok B. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan antara konsep diri dengan keterampilan sosial anak TK akan tetapi hubungannya rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari besarnya korelasi yang diperoleh yaitu 0.384. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa konsep diri memberikan kontribusi sebesar 14.74% terhadap keterampilan sosial anak. direkomendasikan bagi TK untuk mengadakan kegiatan yang mampu meningkatkan konsep diri dan keterampilan sosial anak. ;---The self concept and social skills are two thing very important to be develoves at an early age. frequentely, the problem are encountered many parents or teachers in the field who do not understand the importance of self concept and social skills of the children. If these continous for long time, so the sensitive period of the children at an early age will be overlooked. This research is aim to determine the relationship between self concept and social skills of the kindergarten children. The research method used is the correlation method. This research was condacted in the kindergarten at the Sukasari District of Bandung City, with 565 population of children group B and 100 sampel of children in group B. The result showed that there is a realtion ship between self concept and social skills of the kindergarten children, but the relationship is lower. We can see from the correlation result are obtained by 0.384. so it can be said that the self concept is given contribution 14.70% to social skills of the children are suggest. So the school are suggested to held the activities which able to increasing self concept and social skills of the children.
