Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk komik dan implementasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bernalar dan dampaknya terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan berdasarkan gaya belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Four D Models dengan melalui tahapan pendefisian, rancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran. Validasi komik melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, tim ahli praktisi dan siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa ubric karakteristik komik, soal penalaran, angket sikap peduli lingkungan, angket gaya belajar, angket respon siswa terhadap media komik, dan soal kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hasil uji karakteritik menunjukkan media komik dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada konsep pencemaran lingkungan berdasarkan karekteristik materi, bahasa, penyajian dan tampilan menyeluruh dengan kategori baik dan cukup baik. Hasil uji respon siswa terhadap media komik menunjukkan media komik dalam kategori sangat baik dari aspek materi, tampilan dan manfaat dan dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Hasil penalaran siswa hanya pada pengajuan claim, data dan warrant, hasil sikap peduli lingkungan mengalami peningkatan saat postest, gaya belajar siswa dari ketiga kelas tersebut didominasi gaya belajar visual, untuk kemampuan kognitif siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan N-Gain 0.5, 0.6, dan 0.7 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil analisis data angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respon positif dengan pembelajaran menggunakan komik. Pengembangan media komik pembelajaran dan implementasi memiliki dampak terhadap kemampuan bernalar siswa dan sikap peduli lingkungan berdasarkan gaya belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa. ; This research aimed to develop a learning’s media in the form of comic and its implementation in improving the students’ reasoning ability and and its impact on the environment caring attitude based on learning styles and cognitive abilitiy in the concept of environmental pollution.This research method usedFour D Models with the definition stage, the designing stage, the development stage and the deployment stage. Validation involved the comic materialexpert, the media expert, the expert team of practitioners and students. Research instruments used in the form of the comic characteristic rubric, the reasoning questions, questionnaire of the environment caring attitude, questionnaire of students’ learning styles, questionnaire of students’ response to the comic, and cognitive questions. The result of the characteristics showed that the comic could be used as a medium of learning instruction on the concept of environmental pollution based on the characteristics of the material, the language, the presentation, and the overall look with a good enough category. Students’ response test results against media comics showed that comic media in the very good category from material aspect, the appearance and also benefits that can be used as a medium of learning instruction. The results of students' reasoning only on filing a claim, data and warrant, the results of environmental caring attitude has increased while posttest, for students’ learning style from the third grade that dominated by the visual learning style, for the student's cognitive ability has increased with N-Gain of 0.5, 0.6, and 0.4 with middle categories. The results of the data analysis showed that students gave a positive response to the learning by the comic. Development and implementation of learning comic media has an impact on students' reasoning ability and attitude of caring environment based on cognitive learning styles and abilities of students.
