Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan temuan masalah yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan di lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, salah satunya di TK INDRI kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan pada anak kelompok A di TK INDRI kurang berkembang dengan optimal, yang ditandai dengan kurangnya pembelajaran yang bersifat menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Untuk mengetahui kondisi awal tentang kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan kelas A di TK INDRI, 2) Untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran teknik mencetak kelas A di TK INDRI, 3) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan setelah melakukan kegiatan dengan teknik mencetak di kelas A TK INDRI. Penelitian ini mnggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan melakukan tindakan siklus I dan Siklus II pada 11 anak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan kondisi awal pembelajaran tehnik mencetak terhadap peningkatan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan pada anak berada pada kriteria kurang. Setelah diberikannya tindakan pembelajaran menggunakan tehnik mencetak pada siklus I terdapat peningkatan 45% dari kategori baik, anak mulai mampu menyebutkan lambang bilangan secara berurutan, mundur maupun acak walaupun masih membutuhkan bantuan dari guru. Pada Siklus II terdapat peningkatan sebanyak 81%. Dimana hampir semua anak mampu membilang secara berurutan, mundur maupun acak secara mandiri tanpa bantuan dari guru. Maka dari itu pada siklus II anak berkembang dengan baik (B). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran dengan tehnik’ mencetak’ memberikan pengaruh yang positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan. ; This study is conducted based on findings related to the ability to recognize symbol of numbers in early childhood educationinstitutions, one of them is in INDRI kindergarten which the students’ ability to recognize symbol of numbers in class A has not developed optimally, it is showed by the lack of learningthat is fun. This study aims 1) to investigate the initial conditions on the ability to recognize the symbol of numbersin class A at INDRIkindergarten, 2) to know the implementation learning of printing techniquesin class A, 3) to know how the improvement of recognizing symbol of numbers after implementing printing techniques in class A. This study is a class action research which employed qualitative approach. The data was obtained by using research instrument which called observation sheet. The stage of this study consisted of cycle I and cycle II with each cycle was conducted two treatments on 11 students. The result of this study indicates that the initial condition of printing techniques toward improving the ability to recognize symbol of numbers on students is at low level. After conducting learning by using printing techniques in cycle I, an improvement appears when children begin to be able to mention symbol of numbers sequentially, backward or randomly although they still need help from teacher, it shows they are at sufficient level (C). In the cycle II there is a significant improvement, almost all children can mention the numbers sequentially, backward or randomly by themselves without help from the teacher. It indicates that in second cycle the children improve well (B). This result shows that learning by using printing techniques give a positive influence in improving the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers.
