Abstract
Pentingnya guru PAUD profesional menjadi sebuah keharusan karena guru PAUD profesional akan mengembangkan masa golden age anak dengan sangat baik sedangkan pada kenyataannyaprofesionalitas guru PAUD masih menjadi perdebatan di kalangan pemangku kepentingan. Mayoritasnya lulusan SMA sederajat dan banyak kader Posyandu atau ibu-ibu PPK yang ditarik menjadi guru PAUD. Kesalahan yang demikian itu menyebabkan timbulnyapertanyaan atas tanggapan masyarakat khususnya daerah pedesaan mengenai pentinggnya guru PAUD profesional, karena hal tersebut berkaitan dengan persepsi pemangku kepentingan yang berkecimpung di dunia pendidikan. Persepsi pemangku kepentingan dalam penelitian ini merupakan tanggapan pemangku kepentingan mengenai profesionalitas guru PAUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pemangku kepentingandi bidangpendidikan terhadap profesionalitas guru PAUD di Kecamatan Cibalong Kabupaten Garut dilihat dari kualifikasi akademik, kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi profesional.Populasi dan sampel ini banyaknya 59 orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey dengan menggunakan angket tertutup yang kemudian dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwamenurut pemangku kepentingankompetensi utama yang paling penting yang harus dimiliki oleh guru PAUD profesional adalah kompetensi kepribadian (95,46%), kedua adalah kompetensi pedagogik (87,63%), ketiga adalah kompetensi profesional (86,61%), keempat kompetensi sosial (80,70%) dan urutan yang terakhir adalah kualifikasi akademik (77, 58%). Secara keseluruhan, persepsi pemangku kepentinganberada pada kategori baik, namun dari penelitian ini dihasilkan indikator baru yang menjadi kebutuhan pemangku kepentinganitu sendiri.Pemangku kepentingandiharapkan dapat mempertimbangkan dalam mengambil suatu kebijakan di dunia pendidikan khususnya dalam memilih dan merekrut guru PAUD, pemangku kepentinganmelakukan pembinaan demi peningkatan kompetensi agar sesuai dengan kualifikasi akademik serta kompetensi yang tertera dalamPeraturan Mentri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 16 Tahun 2007 tentang Standar Kualifikasi Akademik dan Kompetensi Guru.;---The importance of being professional early childhood teachers becomes a necessity because they will develop the children’s golden age period very well, while in fact the professionalism of early childhood teachers is still debatable among stakeholdeer. Many of them are high school graduates and cadres of women activities of integrated service post (Posyandu) or women activities of family welfare education (PKK) that are forced to be early childhood teachers.That kind of mistakes can lead to questions over the public response particularly in rural areas about the importance of professional early childhood teachers, because it is related to the perception of stakeholders as they engaged in world of education. Stakeholders’ perception in this study is responses of stakeholders about early childhood teachers professionalism.This study aims to investigate the stakeholders’ perception towards early childhood teachers professionalism in Cibalong, Garut from aspect of academic qualifications, pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence. The population and sample in this study are 59 people. The method used is survey by using closed questionnaire that is then analysed with descriptive statistics. The result shows that according to the stakeholders, the main competence that is important which should be owned by professional early childhood teachers is as the following: personal competence (95.46%), pedagogical competence (87.67%), professional competence (86.61%), social competence (80.70%), and academic qualifications (77.58%).As a whole, stakeholder perceptions are at a good category, but this study also results the new indicator that becomes the needs of stakeholders themselves. Stakeholders are expected to be able to consider in taking a policy in world of education particularly in choosing and recruiting early childhood teachers, stakeholder provide guidance for improving competence in order to match with academic qualifications and competencies stated in Regulation of Minister of National Education in the 2007 number 16 of the standard academic qualification and competence of teachers.
