Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan mengenai hasil belajar yang dialami oleh siswa kelas VA di SDN X pada mata pelajaran IPA. Permasalahan tersebut didasari oleh data awal yang didapatkan dari hasil observasi yang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa belum memiliki sikap percaya diri sehingga guru terlihat lebih aktif selama proses pembelajaran. Partisipasi siswa dalam mengikuti proses kegiatan pembelajaran masih rendah, para siswa cenderung hanya duduk diam dan mendengarkan dan hanya sedikit memberikan respons yang relevan dengan materi pembelajaran. Hal tersebut berimbas terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang belum bisa mencapai KKM yaitu sebesar 5,5 dari ketuntasan minimal yang di tetapkan oleh sekolah yaitu 7,5. Guna menjawab permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan menerapkan metode inkuiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan materi Pesawat Sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen pembelajaran berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, sedangkan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar evaluasi dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru serta aktivitas peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini diantaranya menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik kelas VA SDN X. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perolehan nilai rata – rata siswa pada siklus I yaitu 7,4 dengan persentase hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I yang tuntas sebesar 59% dan yang tidak tuntas sebesar 41%. perolehan nilai rata – rata siswa pada siklus II yaitu 89,4 dengan persentase hasil belajar peserta didik yang tuntas pada siklus II sebesar 86% dan yang tidak tuntas sebesar 14%. Berdasarkan data tersebut, maka dapat terlihat bahwa hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat setelah mengimplementasikan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode Inkuiri. ;---This research is motivated by their concerns regarding learning outcomes experienced by students of class VA at SDN X in science subjects. The problem is based on the initial description obtained from the observations indicate that most students do not have a confident attitude so the teacher looks more active during the learning process. Participation of students in participating in the process of learning activities is still low, the students tend to just sit quietly and listen and respond only slightly relevant to learning materials. It has impacts on student learning outcomes that can not be reached value minimum completeness is equal to 5.5 of the minimum completeness is set by the school, namely 7.5. To answer these problems, then do action research to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects by applying the method of inquiry. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles with materials Simple Aircraft. The collection of data is done using an instrument of learning in the form of lesson plans, while the data collection instruments in the form of an evaluation sheet and teacher observation sheet activities and the activities of learners. The results of this study concluded that such learning by using the methods of inquiry can improve learning outcomes VA grade science students at SDN X. It can be seen from the acquisition value - average students in the first cycle at 7.4 with the percentage of learning outcomes of students in the first cycle were completed by 59% and that is not finished by 41%. Acquisition value - average students in the second cycle is the percentage of 89.4 with the study of students who completed the second cycle of 86% and an incomplete by 14%. Based on these data, it can be seen that student learning outcomes can be improved after implementing learning byapplying the method of inquiry.
