Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaanan konsep siswa MTs melalui penerapan model kegiatan praktikum berbasis pemecahan masalah pada materi perpindahan kalor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain “The randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Subyek penelitian adalah kelas VII-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII-4 sebagai kelas kontrol di salah satu MTs di kota Bandung pada tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 sebanyak 61 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrument tes keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep serta lembar observasi untuk keterlaksanaan model dan angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap model kegiatan praktikum pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh rerata skor gain yang dinormalisasi (<g>) keterampilan proses sains 0,54 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 0,32 untuk kelas kontrol, penguasaan konsep 0,52 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 0,29 untuk kelas kontrol. Rerata gain yang dinormalisasi (<g>) keterampilan proses sains tertinggi kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,79 terjadi pada keterampilan berkomunikasi dan terendah sebesar 0,23 pada keterampilan meramalkan. Rerata gain yang dinormalisasi (<g>) penguasaan konsep tertinggi kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,60 terjadi pada kemampuan mengingat dan terendah sebesar 0,38 pada kemampuan menganalisis. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t dua sampel independen dengan SPSS 16 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi perpindahan kalor yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model kegiatan praktikum berbasis pemecahan masalah dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model kegiatan praktikum verifikasi.;--- It has been done a research that aims to obtain a view of the effect of the use of practical activities model-based problem solving in teaching the concept of heat transfer on science process skills and concept mastery of the MTs. students. The method used is a quasi-experimental with the pretest-posttest randomized control group design. The research subject is class VII - 3 as the experimental class and class VII - 4 as the control class in one of the MTs in the city of Bandung in the 2015/2016 academic year as many as 61 people. The data was collected using the instrumen test for the science process skills and concept mastery, observation sheets for implementation of the model, and questionnaires for the response of the students on the model-based problem solving practical activities. Based on the results of data analysis, it revealed that the <g> average of science process skill of 0.54 for experimental class, and 0.32 for control class, and the <g> average of the concept mastery of 0.52 and 0.29 for the experimental class and control class, respectively. In the experiment class, the highest average <g> of science process skills of 0.79 occurred on the communicate skills aspect and the lowest of 0.23 on foresee skills aspect. The highest average <g> of concept mastery of 0.60 occured on the considering aspect and the lowest of 0.38 on the ability of analyze aspect. Based on hypothesis test using two independent samples t test with SPSS 16, it can be shown that there are significant differences improvement of science process skills and concept mastery of students on the heat transfer who follow the practical activities model based problem solving with students who follow the instructional practical activities model-based verification.
