Abstract

Skripsi ini yang berjudul “ Pengembangan Ekoliterasi Siswa dalam Mengantisipasi Polusi Udara Melalui Modelling Keterampilan Sosial dalam Pembelajaran IPS (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 7 Bandung)”. Pembelajaran IPS merupakan studi yang membahas mengenai interaksi sosial, tidak hanya interaksi antar manusia, namun pembelajaran IPS juga membahas mengenai interaksi manusia dengan lingkungan sekitar, dengan tujuan agar para siswa memiliki kepekaan terhadap lingkungan disekitarnya. Terlihat pada observasi awal yang dilakukan peneliti terlihat keadaan kelas yang kotor serta kebiasaan siswa yang menggunakan kendaraan bermotor pribadi untuk pergi ke sekolah, sehingga membuat kemacetan yang menimbulkan pencemaran di sekitaran sekolah. Penggunaan strategi modelling keterampilan sosial serta penerapan penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart dalam pembelajaran IPS oleh guru untuk mengembangkan pemahaman siswa mengenai lingkungan serta pengaplikasiannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari khususnya dalam mengantisipasi polusi udara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh mulai dari siklus 1 sampai dengan siklus 3 yang dilaksanakan dalam 12 pertemuan menunjukan hasil yang positif , terlihat dalam hasil presentase penelitian pada siklus 2 dan 3 termasuk kategori baik, sehingga nampak pengembangan sikap ekoliterasi siswa yang ditunjukan pada aspek membuang sampah pada tempatnya, membawa botol thumbler dalam upaya mengurangi produksi sampah, melaksanakan piket harian serta tidak menggunakan kendaraan pribadi untuk pergi ke sekeloah. Hasil faktual yang diperoleh serta terlihat secara langsung ialah keadaan kelas menjadi bersih dan nyaman, pengurangan produksi sampah serta pengurangan pengguna kendaraan pribadi ke sekolah yang secara tidak langsung turut mengurangi produksi pencemaran udara di lingkungan sekolah.;--- This thesis entitled “The Development of Student’s Ecoliteracy in Anticipating Air Pollution through Social Skills Modelling in The Learning of Social Studies (Action Research Class viii-c 7 Junior High School Bandung). Social studies is a study that discuss the social interaction, not only the interaction between people, but also the interaction with the environment, with the aim that the students have a sensitivity toward their surrounding environment. Seen in the preliminary observations, the researcher observes that the class condition looked dirty and the habits of students who use private vehicles to go to school, thus made jams and caused pollution in schools area. The use of social skills modelling strategy and the application of action research model of Kemmis and Taggart in teaching social studies by teachers is to develop students' understanding of the environment as well as its application in everyday life, especially in anticipating air pollution. The results were obtained from cycle 1 to cycle 3, conducted in 12 meetings show positive results, seen in the results of the research percentage in cycle 2 and 3 included into good categories, so it seems the development of students’ ecoliteracy indicated in the aspect of throwing garbage in its place, bringing a bottle tumbler in an effort to reduce waste production, carrying out daily picket and not using private vehicles to go to school. Factual results obtained and seen directly is the state of the class become clean and comfortable, the reduction of waste production and the reduction of private vehicle users to schools which indirectly contributes to reduce the production of air pollution in the school environment.
