Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kemampuan kognitif biologi lingkungan dengan sikap terhadap lingkungan serta kaitannya dengan jenis kelamin, durasi pembelajaran biologi dan PLH, serta pendidikan terakhir orang tua. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional, dengan populasi penelitian adalah para siswa di salah satu SMA di Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari siswa yang berasal dua kelas untuk setiap rombongan belajar. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan acak kelas. Data diperoleh menggunakan lembar biodata siswa, instrumen tes kemampuan kognitif biologi lingkungan, dan angket sikap terhadap lingkungan. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson, independent sample t-test, Mann Whitney, One Way ANOVA, dan Kruskal Wallis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa kemampuan kognitif biologi lingkungan memiliki hubungan positif yang tidak berarti dengan sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan, dan dari sekian faktor yang dianalisis keterkaitannya, kemampuan kognitif biologi lingkungan siswa hanya dipengaruhi oleh durasi pembelajaran biologi dan PLH, sedangkan sikap siswa terhadap lingkungan hanya dipengaruhi oleh jenis kelamin. ;--- The purpose of this study was to analyze the direction and strength of the relationship between cognitive abilities of environmental biology and students' attitudes towards the environment and its relation to gender, duration of biology and Environmental Education learning, and the parent education. This study is a correlational study, and the population is the students at one high school in Bandung on 2014/2015 academic year. The research sample consisted of students from two classes for each grade. The sampling technique using class random sampling. Data had been collected by students' personal data sheet, a cognitive capability of environmental biology test instrument, and environmental attitude questionnaires. These data was then analyzed with independent sample t-test, Mann Whitney, One Way ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis and Pearson correlation. The results revealed that cognitive abilities environmental biology has significant positive relationship with the students' attitudes towards the environment and of the factors analyzed linkages, student’s cognitive abilities of environmental biology only influenced by the duration of the study of biology and PLH, while the students' attitudes towards the environment only influenced by gender.
