Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan pra penelitian di lapangan mengenai kurangnya keterampilan kerjasama siswa dalam proses diskusi. Hal itu terlihat ketika proses diskusi berlangsung tidak semua anggota kelompok terlibat dalam menyelesaikan tugas kelompok, kurangnya kontribusi anggota kelompok terhadap tugas yang diberikan oleh guru dan rendahnya rasa tanggung jawab yang dimiliki oleh tiap anggota kelompok dalam menyelesaikan tugas kelompok. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model kooperatife tipe STAD untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama dalam proses diskusi pada pembelajaran IPS. Secara khusus penelitian ini mencakup kondisi awal pembelajaran IPS sebelum diterapkannya STAD, rancangan kooperatif STAD, pelaksanaan STAD, serta dampak dari penerapan model pembelajaran STAD. Penelitian dilakukan melalui tiga siklus dari siklus I sampai siklus III. Pada siklus I siswa mendapat kategori “Cukup” kemudian pada siklus ke II siswa mendapat kategori “ Baik” dan pada siklus ke III siswa mendapat kategori “Sangat Baik”. Melihat hasil yang diperoleh dari siklus I sampai siklus III, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan kerjasama siswa mengalami peningkatan. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD cocok digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama siswa kelas VIII-2 SMPN 49 Bandung dalam proses diskusi pada mata pelajaran IPS ;--- Based on findings of observations and preliminary research in field ,several student have weakness in cooperative skills in the process of discussions. The findings were seen when the discusion took place, such as: not all group members involve in completing the task group, lack of member group contribution to do tasks that is given by teacher,and low of responsibility each member of group to solve group task. The main purpose of this research is to describe application of model cooperative learning, that is STAD type, to increase student skills in the process of discusiion in social learning sciences. In particular, the study covers the initial conditions before applying STAD in learning social learning sciences. The study was conducted as many as three cycles, where from cycles I until cycles III. In the first cycle , the average student gets “Enough”,category, in the second cycles, the average student gets “ Good” category and in the third cycle the average students gets “Verry Good” category. Seing the result of this study from cycles I to cycles III, the result showed that the cooperation skill of student has increased. Learning model STAD is suitable to use to enhance collaboration skill VIII-2 grade students of 49 junior high school Bandung in the process of discussion on social scinece subject
