Abstract
Pelajaran IPS saat ini masih menjadi pelajaran yang tidak disukai oleh siswa karena banyaknya materi yang harus dihafalkan. Selain itu model pembelajaran yang konvensional dan kurangnya mewujudkan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan membuat siswa cepat bosan, juga siswa tidak memiliki kreativitas selama kegiatan pembelajaran. Salah satu strategi yang dikembangkan oleh guru adalah dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penugasan pembuatan media mind mapping menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kreativitas siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 30 Bandung dengan subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VII-8 SMPN 30 Bandung. Pada siklus I awalnya memang belum mengalami peningkatan dan berada pada kategori “cukup”. Akan tetapi pada siklus II peneliti mempersiapkan sematang mungkin perencanaan berdasarkan diskusi balikan dengan guru mitra, dan mengalami peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dalam pemahaman kreativitas dan ada di kategori “baik”. Pada siklus III hanya sedikit mengalami peningkatan dan pemahaman kreativitas siswa ada dikategori “baik” dengan jumlah presentase lebih besar dari siklus II. Pada siklus IV mengalami peningkatan dan sudah mencapai target. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan kreativitas siswa terus meningkat melalui model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pembuatan media mind mapping.;---Students these days are still not interested on taking IPS course for the national curriculum, because there is too many subject that needs to be memorize by the student. Beside that, a conventional learning system and lack of efforts from the teacher to create a fun-environmental study, make students get bored easily, also during the class, those students are lacking of creativity. One of the strategy that has been developed by the teacher is a project-based learning model. Making a mind mapping as the student assignment is one of the alternative to enhance students creativity skills. This classroom action research are using Kemmis and Mc.Taggart’s design was carried out at SMP Negeri 30 Bandung and using students from VIII-8 SMPN 30 Bandung as the research subject. At the beginning of cycle I, there is no sign or any significant improvement and the category is “sufficient”. However, on cycle II the researcher make the planning for the preparation as solid as possible, based on discussion reversal with the teachers and experiencing a quite significant improvement on creativity understanding and the category is “good”. On cycle III, there is not much improvement and understanding of students creativity are in “good” category, with the bigger amount compare with the cycle II. The conclusion of this research are the creativity skills of the students is keep on increasing through project-based learning method, with creating mind mapping as the media.
