Abstract
Skripsi ini berjudul “Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Melalui Metode Course Review Horay dalam Pembelajaran IPS (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di Kelas VII C SMPN 16 Bandung)”. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama yaitu untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui metode Course Review Horay sebagai metode pembelajaran IPS. Teori motivasi belajar menurut Hamzah Uno, Abraham Maslow, Djamarah, Wena, Keller, dan Djahiriserta Teori metode Course Review Horay menurut Miftahul Huda, dan Slavin. Peneliti menggunakan metode pembelajaran Course Review Horay untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar berkolaborasi dengan guru mitra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain Kemmis dan Taggart dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi di kelas VII C SMPN 16 Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diambil yaitu observasi, catatan lapangan, diskusi balikan dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas, penggunaan metode Course Review Horay sebagai metode pembelajaran berhasil meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dengan merancang pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran, menyelesaikan kendala dan solusi pada peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa sesuai indikator melalui metode Course Review Horay dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VII C SMPN 16 Bandung. Keberhasilan penelitian ini, terlihat dari hasil pelaksanaan penelitian yang dilakukan selama tiga siklus, meningkatnya motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode Course Review Horay sebagai metode pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. :--- The title of the study is “Improving Motivation Student Learning ThroughCourse Review Horay Method in Social Studies (A Classroom Action Research at Class VII C SMPN 16 Bandung)”. The study has the main purpose of which is to increase students' motivation through methods Course Review Horay as a learning method of social science. The theories of motivation to learn analysis framed by Hamzah Uno, Abraham Maslow, Djamarah, Wena, Keller, and Djahiri were employed in the study as well as the theories of Course Review Horay method analysis framed by Miftahul Huda, and Slavin. Thus, the writer used Course Review Horay method as the method in order to improving students' motivation with the help from the supervisor. The methodology used in the study was classroom action research design by Kemmis and Taggart including planning, conducting, observation, and reflection stages at Class VII C SMPN 16 Bandung. The data were collected by conducting observation, field notes,feedback discussion and documentation study. The results showed that the use of Course Review Horay method as a learning method managed to improving students’ motivation in social studies by planning, conducting, and problem-solving based on the indicator of motivation to learn. It can be seen in the three cycles of research that improving student motivation in learning social studies. Therefore, the use of Course Review Horay method as the method of social studies can improving students’ motivation.
