Abstract

Latar belakang dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran membaca aksara Sunda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam membaca aksara Sunda, sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media game flash. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one grup pretest and posttest design. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V-A SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 32 orang, terdiri dari 17 orang laki-laki dan 15 orang perempuan. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dengan menggunakan instrumen soal tes tulis. Dalam menganalisis data, teknik yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara mengolah data, uji sifat data, uji gain, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan siswa dalam membaca aksara Sunda setelah menggunakan media game flash. Pada awalnya tidak ada seorang pun yang mampu membaca aksara Sunda meningkat menjadi 30 orang siswa yang mampu membaca aksara Sunda dengan baik dan benar. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata nilai siswa sebelum menggunakan media game flash yaitu 48,98 dengan kriteria belum mampu membaca aksara Sunda dan rata-rata nilai siswa setelah menggunakan media game flash yaitu 86,56 dengan kriteria mampu membaca aksara Sunda. Selain itu, peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca aksara Sunda dapat dilihat dari uji hipotesis bahwa thitung (13,76) > ttabel (2,526), ini artinya hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, sedangkan (H0) ditolak. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media game flash dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca aksara Sunda siswa kelas V-A SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI tahun ajaran 2015/2016. --- The background of this study is the lack of students’ ability in learning reading of sundanese script. This study aims to find out students’ ability in reading sundanese script,before and after using flash game as a media. The method that is used in this study is a quasi-experimental with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample of this study were students from class V-A SD Laboratorium percontohan UPI in academic years of 2015/2016.with total 32 participants, consist of 17 boys and 15 girls. Technique used in this study was written test technique using questions instrument. In analyzing the data, The technique that were used in this study were data characteristics examining, gain examining, and hypothesis examining. The result of this study is that students’ ability in reading sundanese script using flash game as a media were improving. In the beginning, students were not able to read the sundanese script, then increasing to 30 students who were able to read sundanese script correctly. It is shown from the average of students’ score before using flash game, which is 48,98 with a criteria is not able to read the sundanese script yet and the average of students’ score after using flash game as a media, which is 86,56 with a criteria is able to read sundanese script. Moreover, The improvement of students’ ability in reading sundanese script can be seen from hypothesis test that showed tcount (13,76) > ttable (2,526), It means that the allternative hypothesis accepted, while (h0) is rejected. It proves that flash game as a media is able to improve ability in reading sundanese script of students of class V-A SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI in academic years of 2015/2016.
