Abstract

Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berfikir analitis siswa. Fokus kajian yang dibahas adalah faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampaun berfikir analitis tersebut, yaitu model pembelajaran. Model yang hendak diteliti yaitu model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL), dan pokok masalah yang diungkap adalah sejauh mana pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berfikir analitis. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (X) dan kemampuan berfikir analitis siswa (Y). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen, dan bentuk kuasi eksperimen yang dipilih adalah Nonequivqlenty Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t untuk melihat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berfikir analitis antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Kelas XI AP 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas XI AP 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berfikir analitis yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model Guide Discovery Learning. Namun, perolehan rata-rata skor kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Artinya, sekolah dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir analitis siswa.; The problem studied in this research is the lack of analytical thinking ability of students. The focus of this research are the factors that affect the analytical thinking ability, that is the model of learning. The model to be studied is Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, and the subject matter to be studied is how far Problem Based Learning (PBL) model influence the analytical thinking ability. This research consisting of two variables: Problem Based Learning model (X) and analytical thinking ability of students (Y). The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental and quasi-experimental that the writer choose is Nonequivqlenty Control Group Design. Techniques of collecting data using a tests, observation and documentation, while techniques of data analysis using t-test to see the differences between the increase of the analytical thinking ability of experimental class and control class. The subject of the research is XI AP 4 class as an experimental class and XI AP 2 class as the control class. The results shows that there is an significant increase in analytical thinking ability among experimental class using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with control class that using Discovery Learning Guide model. However, the acquisition of the average score of experimental class was higher than control class. It means, schools can apply Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve the analytical thinking ability of the students.
