Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh informasi mengenai penguasaan konsep peserta didik setelah diimplementasikannya model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi pengaruh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eskperimen dengan pretest-posttest nonequivalen control group design. Subyek penelitian ini peserta didik kelas XI semester genap dengan 30 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 30 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol di salah satu SMA di Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis dalam bentuk lima belas soal pilihan berganda, dan lembar onbservasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen 0,53 dan N-gain kelas kontrol sebesar 0,5. Berdasarkan indeks N-Gain Meltzer keduanya termasuk penguasaan konsep kategori sedang. Penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen pada kelompok tinggi memperoleh rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 0,59, kelompok sedang sebesar 0,52 dan kelompok rendah sebesar 0,59. ; The study aims to acquire information about the mastery of concepts student after the implementation of learning model of problem solving in the material factors that affect the rate of reaction. The research method used was quasi experimental with non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The study subjects the student of class XI second semester with 30 students experimental class and 30 students control class in one of SMA Negeri Bandung. The instruments used was written test in the form of fifteen multiple choice questions, and the observation sheet. The results showed that mastery of concepts students experimental class is better than the control class, with average values N-Gain is 0,53 and N-Gain control class is 0,5. Based on index N-Gain Meltzer mastery of concepts included both middle categories. Mastery of concepts experimental class in the high group receives an average N-Gain 0,59, middle group receives 0,52 and low group receives 0,5.
