Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh virtual test yang valid dan reliabel untuk menilai literasi sains siswa pada materi interaksi makluk hidup dengan lingkungannya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Research & Development. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP pada kelas 7 dan kelas 8 sebanyak 96 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar validasi konten, lembar penilaian usabilitas, Biology Motivational Questioner (BMQ), angket tanggapan siswa, dan format wawancara guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) virtual test memuat fitur-fitur yang menunjukkan soal lebih refresentatif untuk mengungkap literasi sains siswa seperti video, gambar, tabel, grafik, virtual lab, dan komik; (2) dilengkapi dengan tombol navigasi yang jelas dan seragam untuk setiap soal; (3) nilai CVI 0,8, reliabilitas 0,796 (tinggi) dan usabilitas 82,8(sangat baik); (4) motivasi siswa yang dites dengan menggunakan virtual test lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang dites dengan menggunakan tes tertulis; dan (5) guru serta siswa memberi tanggapan positif terhadap virtual test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa virtual test yang dikembangkan dapat menilai literasi sains siswa pada tingkat validitas, reliabilitas, dan usabilitas yang lebih dari cukup.; This research aims to obtain a valid and reliable virtual test to measure students science literacy on interaction of organisms with their environment topic. This research have been done with Research & Development methode. Participants in this research were junior high school students on 7th-grade and 8th-grade consist of 96 students. Instruments to collect data were content validity sheet, usability assessment sheet, Biology Motivational Questionnaire (BMQ), questionnaire of student response, and teacher interview. The results showed: (1) The virtual test have features that indicate a more representative item to uncover the students science literacy such as video, images, tables, graphs, virtual labs, and comic; (2) Equipped with clear navigation keys; (3) CVI value 0.8, acceptable reliability with Cronbach’s Alpha 0,796 and high reliability category, usability value 82,8; (4) Higher level of student motivation than student motivation that tested with paper based test; and (5) Teachers and students gave positive responses to the virtual test. It can be concluded that virtual test can measure student’s science literacy with level of validity, reliability, and usability is more than adequate.
