Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar, guru perlu melatih siswa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan. Salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan pada pembelajaran IPS adalah melalui model inkuiri sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan pembelajaran model inkuiri sosial, pelaksanaan pembelajaran model inkuiri sosial, dan perubahan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan melalui model inkuiri sosial pada pembelajaran IPS. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) pada siswa kelas IV SDN Rancatungku 01 Kecamatan Pameungpeuk Kabupaten Bandung. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan dan sikap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan siswa pada pembelajaran IPS melalui model inkuiri sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan melalui model inkuiri sosial pada setiap siklusnya, dari siklus 1 dengan kategori sedang mengalami kenaikan pada siklus 3 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Begitu juga dengan sikap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan mengalami kenaikan pada setiap siklusnya, dari sebelum siklus dengan kategori rendah naik pada siklus 3 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya guru mengimplementasikan model inkuiri sosial pada pembelajaran IPS adalah untuk melatih keterampilan pengambilan keputusan pada siswa dalam memecahkan masalah dengan tepat. Penerapan model inkuiri sosial untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan siswa diharapkan dapat diterapkan di kelas lainnya dan di sekolah lainnya melalui kegiatan Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG).; In learning social science in elementary school, teacher should teach the students to improve their decision making skills. One of the strategies to increase the decision making skill in learning social science is through social inquiry model. The research is aimed to know the lesson plan of social inquiry model, the implementation of social inquiry model, and the changes of decision making skill through inquiry social model in learning social science. The research design that is used in this research is classroom action research to 4th grade students of SDN Rancatungku 01 Kecamatan Pameungpeuk Kabupaten bandung. The data collection used in this research is test and observation to know the increase of students’ ability and attitude of decision making skill in learning social science through social inquiry model. The result of analysis shows that there is an increase of decision making skill through inquiry social in every cycle, cycle 1 wich is could be categorized medium as become increase in cycle 3 which is could be categorized very high. The attitude of decision making skill also shows the increase in every cycle. Before action Cycle 1 which is could be categorized low, as become increase in cycle 3 which is could be categorized very high. The research is recomended for teacher to implement the social inquiry model in learning social science is to teach the students’ decision making skill to solve the problem correctly. The implementation of social inquiry model to increase the students, decision making skill is expected to be implemented in other classes and in other schools through teachers’ work groups activity (KKG).
