Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya indikasi guru TK di Kota Serang yang belum menunjukkan kinerja mengajar yang memadai. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja mengajar guru di Kota Serang. Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan karena kinerja mengajar guru TK dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, dimana desain survei menggunakan angket sebagai alat pengumpul data. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari Kepala Sekolah dan Guru TK di Kota Serang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik, kemudian dibandingkan dengan kajian teori dan hasil penelitian terdahulu. Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan bahwa perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar Guru TK di Kota Serang dengan kategori rendah (sebesar 7,2%). Selain itu, motivasi kerja juga memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja mengajar Guru TK di Kota Serang dengan kategori cukup kuat (sebesar 32%). Secara simultan, perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap terhadap kinerja mengajar Guru TK di Kota Serang dengan kategori cukup kuat (sebesar 46,5%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat kinerja mengajar guru TK di Kota Serang dipengaruhi oleh variabel perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja sebesar 46,5% secara simultan. Sedangkan 53,5% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja memberikan pengaruh terhadap kinerja mengajar Guru TK di Kota Serang. Adapun rekomendasi yang diajukan adalah : 1) Kepala Sekolah dapat lebih menegaskan wewenang, tanggung jawab, pedoman kerja, dan saluran komunikasi yang jelas bagi guru, maupun kepala sekolah itu sendiri, 2) Kepala Sekolah dapat mengalokasikan insentif dan membuka peluang promosi bagi guru, 3) Guru mampu mengidentifikasikan dan mengelompokkan kompetensi, mengembangakan materi, menentukan metode dan merencanakan penilaian, 4) Bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk mencoba mengkaji variabel lain yang mempengaruhi kinerja mengajar Guru TK. ---------- This research is motivated by the indication of a kindergarten teacher in Serang city that has not demonstrated adequate teaching performance. This study aimed to analyze the influence of the behavior of school leadership and work motivation on the teachers teaching performance in Serang City. This research is important because the kindergarten teachers teaching performance can improve the quality of the learners.This study used quantitative research methods, where the survey design is using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The research data was obtained from the Head of School and Kindergarten Teachers in Serang City. The data obtained were statistically analyzed and compared with the theoretical study and the results of previous research.Based on data analysis, it was found that the behavior of school leadership provide a positive and significant effect on the kindergarten teacher teaching performance in Serang city with low category (by 7.2%). In addition, work motivation also provide a positive and significant effect on the kindergarten teacher teaching performance in Serang city with strong category (by 32%). Simultaneously, the behavior of school leadership and work motivation provide a positive and significant effect on the kindergarten teacher teaching performance in Serang city with strong category (46.5%).The conclusion of this study is the level of kindergarten teacher teaching performance in Serang city influenced by the behavior of school leadership variables and work motivation 46.5% simultaneously. While 53.5% are influenced by other variables. Based on the findings it can be concluded that the behavior of school leadership and work motivation influence on the kindergarten teacher teaching performance in Serang city.The recommendations made are: 1) the Principal can be asserted authority, responsibilities, guidelines, and clear channel of communication for teachers, and the principal itself, 2) the Principal may allocate incentives and promotion opportunities for teachers, 3 ) the teacher is able to identify and classify the competencies, develop the material, determine the method and plan assessment, 4) for further research is encouraged to try to assess other variables that affect the kindergarten teacher teaching performance.
