    Abstract

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status identitas vokasional dengan kesiapan kerja siswa SMK kelas XII di Kota Bandung. Populasi dalam penulisan ini adalah siswa SMK kelas XII. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dan jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah 232 orang. Karakteristik sampel yang diambil adalah siswa SMK kelas XII di Kota Bandung. Dari sebanyak ± 90 SMK di Kota Bandung, penulis mengambil masing-masing 2 kelas dari 4 SMK di Kota Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebar kuesioner yang terdiri dari dua skala yaitu skala status identitas vokasional berjumlah 27 item yang terbagi menjadi skala status identitas aspek eksplorasi dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,719 berjumlah 12 item dan skala status identitas aspek komitmen dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,737 berjumlah 16 item, serta skala kesiapan kerja berjumlah 21 item dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,803. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang cukup kuat antara status identitas vokasional dengan kesiapan kerja, sehingga semakin tinggi tingkat status identitas vokasional yang dimiliki siswa maka semakin tinggi pula kesiapan kerja yang dimilikinya. Tingkat signifikansi korelasi adalah 0, 414 (> 0,05), menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara status identitas vokasional dengan kesiapan kerja pada siswa SMK kelas XII cukup signifikan.

    The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between vocational identity status and work readiness on SMK students from class 12 in Bandung. The subject participated are among the SMK Students from class 12. Purposive sampling is used together with the participation of 232 subjects in this research. Among all the SMKs in Bandung, only 4 schools with 2 classes each were chosen to take part in this research. Data was gathered by using 2 scale questionnaires. One is a vocational identity status scale with 27 items which are further divided into two aspects (1) exploration aspects, consist of 12 items which obtain 0.719 reliability coefficients and (2) commitment aspects, which consist of 16 items and carry 0.737 of reliability coefficients, and work readiness scale with 21 items which obtain 0.803 reliability coefficients. The results indicated that there is a strong relationship between vocational identity status and employment readiness, which then explains, with the increase in vocational identity status, it will also increases the employment readiness for SMK’s students. Correlation acquired in this research is 0.414 which is lesser than 0.05. Therefore, the relationship between the two variables is significant.
