Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatarbelakang pengelola Ikatan Keluarga Asrama Pondok Buntet Pesantren (IKAPB) yang mempunyai tugas membentuk pola berpikir kritis santri pondok Buntet Pesantren Cirebon (BPC) melalui kegiatan Bahtsul Masa’il. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan proses berpikir kritis santri yang terbentuk melalui kegiatan Bahtsul Masa’il yang akan diketahui pada: a) Berpikir kritis santri mengenai isu fikih kekinian; b) Kedudukan kegiatan Bahtsul Masa’il dalam membentuk berpikir kritis santri Buntet Pesantren Cirebon; dan c) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat pengurus IKAPB dalam membentuk berpikir kritis santri Buntet Pesantren Cirebon. Kajian pustaka yang digunakan sebagai pisau analisis adalah peran pesantren sebagai satuan pendidikan nonformal, konsep dasar berpikir kritis, Bahtsul Masa’il, hakikat organisasi, konsep peran dan fungsi, konsep problem solving dalam kegiatan Bahtsul Masa’il. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah enam orang yang terdiri dari peserta (santri), pengurus IKAPB, dan kiai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: a) Santri berpikir kritis mengenai isu-isu fikih kekinian yang ditandai dengan kemampuan informasi verbal, memberi penjelasan dasar, menganalisis, mengevaluasi isu fikih kekinian, dan mempunyai kemandirian dalam menguji serta mengoreksi pernyataan; b) Bahtsul Masa’il mempunyai kedudukan sebagai forum pemecahan masalah dimana pengurus IKAPB menjalankan peran dan fungsi keorganisasiannya sebagai pengelola kegiatan sehingga berpikir kritis santri Buntet Pesantren Cirebon dapat terbentuk; dan c) Faktor yang menjadi pendukung dan penghambat pengurus IKAPB dalam pembentukan berpikir kritis santri Buntet Pesantren Cirebon diamati dari aspek peserta, sarana, faktor lingkungan sosial, faktor lingkungan alam, faktor lingkungan nasional, dan internasional. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian yaitu peserta sudah berpikir kritis mengenai isu-isu fikih kekinian dan pengurus IKAPB sudah melakukan peran dan fungsinya sebagai pengelola kegiatan Bahtsul Masa’il yang membentuk berpikir kritis santri BPC. Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Bahtsul Masa’il This research based on The Family Association of Buntet Dormitories (IKAPB) who has a mission to build think critically pattern of student in Buntet Boarding Cirebon (BPC) through The Bahtsul Masa’il. This research described think critically students formed through The Bahtsul Masa’il to be known in: a) Think critically students on latest Islamic jurisprudence issues; b) Position of The Bahtsul Masa’il in forming think critically student Buntet Boarding Cirebon (BPC); and c) supporting and inhibitors factors for The IKAPB in forming think critically student Buntet Boarding Cirebon (BPC). The literature that researcher used are the role of boarding as a unit of non-formal education, the basic concept of think critically, Bahtsul Masa’il, the true nature of the organization, the concept of the role and function, problem solving concept in The Bahtsul Masa’il. Methods used in research is the descriptive methodology with a qualitative approach. While technique data collection researcher used was interview and observation. The subjects in this study are six persons, consists of boarding’s students, managers of IKAPB, and teacher of boarding. This research result indicates that: a) student think critically about latest Islamic jurisprudence issues which marked the verbal information, give the basic explanation, analyzing, evaluate latest Islamic jurisprudence issues, and have independence in test and correcting statement; b) Bahtsul Masa’il as a problem solving forum where IKAPB runs the organizational role and function as the activity manager so student of Cirebon Buntet Boarding can think critically; and c) Supporting and inhibitors factors The IKAPB in the formatting of think critically student of Cirebon Buntet Boarding observed of the participants, facilities, the social environment factor, natural environment factor, national environmental, and international environmental factor. Conclusions of the research are the participants had already think critically about Islamic jurisprudence issues and IKAPB have done its role and function as the activity manager Bahtsul Masa’il in forming think critically of BPC students.
