Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kecerdasan emosi siswa terutama dalam kecakapan pribadi. Tujuan umum penelitian untuk memperoleh program bimbingan konseling pribadi sosial untuk meningkatkan kecakapan pribadi siswa di SMK Ma’arif 2 Sumedang dan implikasinya bagi Bimbingan dan Konseling Pribadi-Sosial. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode desktriptif, Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMK Ma’arif 2 Sumedang yang terdiri atas 4 jurusan dan 5 kelas, yaitu sebanyak 147 siswa. Penelitian menghasilkan profil kecakapan pribadi siswa SMK Ma’arif 2 Sumedang yang berdasarkan hasil perhitungan mendapatkan skor 0,028 termasuk pada kategori kurang cakap. Artinya siswa belum memiliki kecakapan pribadi, sehingga masih banyak aspek dalam kecakapan pribadi yang belum dikuasai oleh siswa, belum memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan atau berbuat sesuatu untuk dirinya sendiri, orang lain, maupun saat berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling yaitu upaya pengembangan layanan dalam bentuk layanan responsif. Bimbingan klasikal dan perencanaan individual sebagai pendamping agar kecakapan pribadi yang dimiliki siswa dapat berkembang; dan peneliti selanjutnya dalam melakukan penelitian tentang kecakapan pribadi yang dihubungkan dengan variabel lain, diantaranya pola asuh orang tua, gender, atau prestasi belajar. Kata kunci : Kecerdasan emosi, Kecakapan pribadi, siswa SMK The research is motivated by emotional intelligence of students, especially in a personal skills. The general objective of research to obtain personal social counseling programs to improve personal skills of students in vocational Ma'arif 2 Sumedang and its implications for Guidance and Counseling Personal-Social. The approach used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method, study population was all class XI student of SMK Ma'Arif 2 Sumedang consisting of 4 departments and 5 classes, as many as 147 students. The research resulted in a personal skills profile Ma'Arif 2 Sumedang vocational students who get a score based on the calculation of 0,028 included in the category of less capable. This means that students do not yet have the personal skills, so there are still many aspects of personal skills are not mastered by students, yet have the ability to do or do anything for himself, others, or when interacting with the surrounding environment. Recommendations addressed to guidance and counseling teachers, namely the development efforts in the form of responsive service. Classical guidance and individual planning as a companion so personal skills of the students can thrive; and further researchers in conducting research on personal skills associated with other variables, such as parenting, gender, or learning achievement.
